Lopez Middle School 2020-2021Beginning Band Required EquipmentINSTRUMENTS:Students will need to furnish their own instruments unless they are assigned to play oboe, bassoon, tuba, euphonium (baritone), or French horn. Students playing these instruments will need to purchase their own mouthpiece and supplies. There is a $30.00 maintenance fee for use of one of these school-owned instruments. For the other instruments, most music stores have a rental purchase plan, cash discounts, etc. There are several reputable dealers in the area. If for some reason you cannot purchase the required equipment, please call or email one of the directors before making any other purchases.REQUIRED BRANDS OF INSTRUMENTS: We want your student to be successful in learning how to play an instrument, so this list is very specific as to what model and brand of instrument/equipment to purchase.
