Research Intensive Aphasia Program

APHASIA RESEARCH

A study is available for persons with aphasia

The Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago is conducting a research study that will help us understand how to better schedule speech and language therapy.

If you should qualify, you will receive 60 hours of speech and language therapy.

Therapy will be scheduled for either: a) three weeks (4 hours a day, 5 days a week for

3 weeks) or b) fifteen weeks (2 hours a day, 2 days a week for

15 weeks).

Participants must meet the following criteria:

Diagnosis of aphasia from a single stroke

More than 6 months since stroke onset

At least 18 years old English-speaking before

the stroke
