OLC Collaborate 2015 ? Kansas City will be held at the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center, a nationally recognized convening site located adjacent to the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation offices in Kansas City, Missouri. This facility welcomes 65,000 thought leaders per year to an atmosphere of candor and purpose,

where innovative thinking and dialogue lead to action.

AREA DRIVING DIRECTIONS TO THE KAUFFMAN FOUNDATION CENTER

From Kansas City International Airport:

Take Interstate 29 south. (It's 18 miles to Downtown.) Interstate 29 and Interstate 35 merge just north of the Missouri River. (I-29 ends.) Follow Interstate 35 south to the second Broadway Exit. (The sign says, "Exit 1B 27th Street Broadway.) Follow Broadway south to 47th Street. Turn east (left) on 47th Street; follow about 6 blocks to Rockhill Road. Turn south (right) on Rockhill Road; follow to 4801 (about 1 1/2 blocks).

From Downtown Airport:

Upon leaving parking area, follow signs for Broadway. Follow Broadway south to 47th Street. Turn east (left) on 47th Street; follow about 6 blocks to Rockhill Road. Turn south (right) on Rockhill Road; follow to 4801 (about 1 1/2 blocks).

From the North:

Interstate 70 intersects with Interstate 435 just west of Truman Sports Complex. Follow Interstate 435 south to first exit (Eastwood Trafficway). Exit west (right) and go 3 blocks to Blue Parkway. Turn west (right) and follow Blue parkway for about 4 miles. It changes names to Swope Parkway and then to Volker Boulevard. Turn north (right) on Rockhill Road. Cross the bridge and turn right at 4801.

From the Southwest:

Follow Interstate 35 north to Shawnee Mission parkway exit. Follow Shawnee Mission Parkway east. At the Missouri State line it becomes Ward Parkway. Keep going east (do not turn south) on Ward Parkway. After 1 1/2 miles it becomes Volker Boulevard. Follow Volker Boulevard east to Rockhill Road (about 4 blocks). Turn north (left) on Rockhill Road one block to 4801.

From the South:

Interstate 435 intersects with US Highway 71. Go north on 71. Exit at Swope Parkway. Turn west (left) on Swope Parkway, which soon changes its name to Volker Boulevard. Follow Volker Boulevard to Rockhill Road. Turn north (right) on Rockhill Road one block to 4801.

From the West:

Follow Interstate 70 east. Exit on Interstate 670. Proceed about 2 miles and exit on Interstate 35 south. Follow it for 1 mile and exit on Broadway. (You can go south only.) Stay on Broadway to 47th Street. Turn east (left) on 47th Street. Take 47th Street for about 6 blocks to Rockhill Road. Turn south (right) on Rockhill Road for 1-1/2 blocks to 4801. NOTE: 47th Street in some areas may also be called Emanuel Cleaver II Blvd.

Parking

The Kauffman Foundation Conference Center has over 250+ parking spaces directly in front of the Conference Center. There are an additional 70 or so spaces available across the street at the Kauffman Memorial Gardens. There is no charge for parking at the Kauffman Conference Center or Memorial Gardens.

Hotels, Dining, and Things to Do in Kansas City

Kansas City, known as the City of Fountains, is practically overflowing with adventure. Whether it's the scent of smoldering BBQ luring you to a plate of ribs, the sweet echo of jazz welcoming an evening of entertainment or the spray of fountains inviting you to kick off your shoes and make a splash, you'll sense inspiration in the air ? and find it along every boulevard.

If you plan to arrive in Kansas City the night before the event, be sure to learn more about dining, entertainment, hotels and more

OLC Collaborate is a one-day regional event. If you arrive on the day of the event (Tuesday, February 24), be sure to eat breakfast before you arrive. We will supply AM coffee service, lunch, and PM coffee service. No breakfast will be provided. There are vending machines onsite, but no restaurants onsite or nearby other than Winstead's (a local burger joint).

If you plan to stay overnight, hotels and restaurants located in the Country Club Plaza area will be the closest options for easy access to the Kauffman Foundation Conference Center. Please note that local hotels are located on the other end of the Country Club Plaza. You will want to plan to drive over to the Kauffman Center or take a short cab ride. An estimate on the cab ride cost is approximately $10.

The Country Club Plaza (often referred to as The Plaza) is an American upscale shopping district and residential neighborhood in Kansas City, Missouri. It was the first shopping center in the world designed to accommodate shoppers arriving by automobile. Established in 1922 by J. C. Nichols and designed architecturally after Seville, Spain, the Plaza comprises high-end retail establishments, restaurants, and entertainment venues, as well as offices. The Country Club Plaza is named in the Project for Public Spaces' list `60 of the World's Great Places'.

Rooms are available at the Raphael Hotel () at event discounted rates starting at $165.00+ tax per night plus taxes until Friday, January 30, 2015 at 12pm CT. Discounted rooms are available for the evenings of Monday, February 23 and Tuesday, February 24. Room reservations include complimentary parking and guestroom wi-fi.
