“CITY TRADING CARD” READ COMPLETE DOCUMENT!

NOTE: Complete all research before making cards – Research page needs

To be completed first! YOU WILL BE COMPLETING 8 CARDS

(2 PAGES, FRONT AND BACK)

Save as “TRADING CARD INFO, LAST NAME, CLASS PERIOD”

ON YOUR COMPUTER/Flash Drive (trading card info, Jarrett, 1).

Open a Word Document, and set it up for MLA format (1 inch Margins,

Line Spacing set to “0”, Times New Roman, 12 point, Double Spaced)

and type the questions below/answer them (Or Copy/Paste Work Page).

You will be doing this for each of your EIGHT cards which means that this

document will be 2-4 pages long. The card should include the following:

Picture of City

Now repeat the above layout until you have your EIGHT CITIES DONE. MAKE SURE YOU ARE USING RELIABLE SOURCES.

Save as “TRADING CARD INFO, YOUR LAST NAME, CLASS PERIOD” on your computer/flash drive (trading card info, Jarrett, 1).

For the Trading Cards: SAVE AS CITY TRADING CARD, LAST NAME, CLASS PERIOD ON YOUR COMPUTER/ FLASH DRIVE (city trading card, Jarrett, 1)

Instructions:

1. Logon and start Microsoft Word, Pages…

2. Select “Insert” on the Menu Bar

3. “Click on “Text Box”

4. Select “Draw Text Box”

5. Draw a textbox at the top-left-hand corner of your document

6. Place your cursor on the boarder of the text box and “right-click”

7. Select “More Layout Options”

8. Select size and input 3.5” for the Height and 2.5” for the Width

9. Place your cursor on the boarder of the text box and “right-click”

10. Select “Format Shape”

11. Select “Line Color” and select the color of your boarder

12. Select “Line Style” and select your boarder width (at least a 4)

13. Now, copy your Trading Card Layout and then paste it 3 times to

your Trading Card Document

14. Once you have it pasted 3 times, space two across the top of the

page, and two along the bottom of your page.

15. These will be the fronts of your Trading Cards.

16. Now, click OUTSIDE the bottom right-hand corner of the last

card on the page and hit enter until you reach a new page.

17. Now copy the 4 boxes on page 1 to page 2. These will be the

backs of your cards

18. Repeat for your second set of 4 Cards

20. Insert a Text Box in your first trading card, copy a picture of your CITY and size it so it takes up the

half of the card

21. Insert a Text box in the bottom half of your card and type in the information for the front of the card

22. Now complete the rest of the fronts of your Trading cards

23. Go to “Page 2” of your Trading Cards, insert a Text box, and complete the information that goes on the back of your Trading Cards. 10 OR 12 POINT FONT ONLY FOR TRADING CARDS!

24. IF you decide to place a picture on the back of your Card, be sure to insert a Text Box first.

25. This assignment is for a Project Grade. DO YOUR BEST AND BE CREATIVE!!!

Also, there are world-class restaurants, fine boutique hotels, and lots of one-of-a kind things to explore. The Seattle Center, location of the 1962 World's Fair, has become a premier destination for arts, entertainment and leisure activities.

Places to see: Pike Place Market, Seattle Center, the Space Needle, Chihuly Garden, Museum of History & Industry, Sky View Observatory, Puget Sound, and of course, the Ferris Wheel.
