Teens Around the World Project
Use your research packet to create a presentation with the following information. Please use Prezi, Google Slides, or PowerPoint.
← Your (new) name, age, interests, and hobbies (you may format this information like a Facebook, Instagram, or other social media page- but do not make a real account)
← A picture of you and your family*
← A recipe of your favorite meal and picture*
← A journal entry about your day to day life
← A newspaper article about what is currently going on in the country (NATIONAL news, only need the link) and your reaction to it as a native citizen.
← A paragraph explaining the similarities and differences between your country and the US (avoid focusing on obvious ones like language).
← Five additional photos depicting your culture*
← A map of your country and the surrounding countries. Add landmarks and major cities as well.*
*You may draw, Photoshop, and/or print out pictures from valid online sources
(be sure to cite them by putting the link next to the photo).
Print your presentation! Then attach it the following:
← A Personal Reflection on how your perspective changed and what you learned through this process (approximately two pages, double-spaced).
← Research Packet
← Bibliography (minimum 3 sources)
You will present this information to our class. Feel free to dress as a teen would in your country to really enhance your presentation. Remember you are “becoming” this person for a day to try to understand how adolescents live all over the world.
