0703592 Graduation Project Design 6 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: 0703591

Students design the project for which a report was prepared. The design should include: analysis of the architectural concept; architectural philosophy; overall study for the interior and exterior spaces; the integration of architectural elements to create a comprehensive configuration; a study of the exterior and interior movement; structural systems; and technical services. Students are required to submit a complete set of architectural drawings expressing the design concept and a model of the project.

Elective Courses

0703233 Building Workshop 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: 0703232

This course initiates the student on handling tasks such as field study of buildings under construction and preparation of technical reports regarding methods of construction and implementation, as well as project management of an architecture project. An execution of a small-scale project related to architectural design on a selected site is performed by students.

0703301 Advanced Computer Application 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: 0703204

Prerequisite: 0703462

TBA

0703571 Environmental Control 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: 0703372

The course introduces renewable energy resources (sun, wind, etc.) and the ways that could benefit architectural design and the environmental systems, and the strategy of conservation of natural resources. Examples are shown from contemporary designs that depend on natural resources of energy and the architectural systems that could be modified to control the internal environment of buildings (heat, humidity, ventilation, lighting, etc.).

0703503 Special Topics in Architecture 3 Credit Hours

Prerequisite: None

TBA

0703581 Project Management & Economics 3 Credit Hours
