Thanks for choosing Intermountain Medical Center for your affiliation. Below is some general information about your clinical. We look forward to working with you and hope that you will have a great clinical experience here!

TRANSPORTATION

It is expected the student provide their own means of transportation. Public transportation is available through Utah Transit Authority (UTA). UTA provides bus routes and light rail trains (TRAX) that stop very near to Intermountain Medical Center. You can access more information by visiting their website, .

PARKING

Please see the enclosed map of Intermountain Medical Center for details. Appropriate parking areas have been highlighted if this is sent to you via mail or are marked with a *.

DRESS CODE

Appropriate professional dress expected. No lab coats. No scrub tops. No ties. No open-toed shoes. No dresses/skirts or low cut blouses.

ATTENDANCE

It is expected you will work the same schedule as your CI, unless previously arranged by the ACCE and CCCE. Contact will be made from the CCCE and/or from your CI to inform you of your expected schedule.

P.T. DEPARTMENT

Please see the enclosed map of the Carolyn Barnes Gardner Women & Newborn Center. Our department is located on Lower Level 2 (LL2) of this building. The entrance to this building is on the West side of the hospital. From the lobby (LL1) take the elevator down to LL2 and follow the map. Our offices require a badge with security clearance to enter. Please knock to be let in.

MEALS

Many different options within the hospital are available or within short driving distance for you to buy your own meals. The P.T. department also has a small kitchen that provides a refrigerator and microwave for your use.

HOUSING

To be arranged by the student. If given notice efforts can be made by the staff to assist students in finding housing if coming from out of state, but without guarantee housing arrangements will be made.

ORIENTATION

Your CI will orient you to the things you will need to know to have a wonderful clinical experience. Please bring all checklists and forms given to you by your school and from the CCCE of this hospital for review with your CI during the first day of your clinical.
