He has also served as the President and Chairman of the Board of the Society of Certified Retirement Plan Specialists.

Larry joined Cannon’s full-time staff in 1997 after serving twelve years on its faculty. His responsibilities include coordinating the Retirement Plan Services Schools, teaching in the Personal Trust, Retirement Plan Services, Security Operations, Fiduciary and Investment Risk Management, Private Banking, IRA, Fiduciary Investment Management, Institutional Custody, Operations and Cannon Trust Schools as well as in-house training. Larry speaks and consults at financial services companies and conferences nationwide on technical, sales and service topics. He is a member of the adjunct faculty of the College for Financial Planning. His writings have been published in numerous places including Trusts & Estates Magazine.

Larry has been in the financial services industry since 1980. He was formerly Vice President and Trust Officer for Wells Fargo in Seattle, Washington, and Regional Institutional Sales Manager for five states specializing in marketing trust and investment services to retirement plan, high net worth individuals as well as foundations and endowments. Larry has previous experience as Assistant Professor at Black Hawk College and two years as Assistant Vice President of another northwest financial institution.

Member: Western Pension Conference, International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, Advisory Board of Cannon Financial Institute, and Advisory Board of the Association of Accredited Fiduciary Investment Managers.
