1. Introduction

Dear author, thank you for submitting your manuscript to the IJISPM - International Journal of Information Systems and Project Management. The instructions provided here will assist you in the preparation of your article.

2. Main text

Articles must be written in English language (US) and be carefully proofread before submission.

Please use this template for preparing your article.

Files should be provided in MS Word format (.doc) and PDF, and should be formatted for direct printing.

Figures and tables should be embedded in the main document and not supplied separately.

1. Paper size and structure

Papers should have between 6000 and 8000 words, following the recommended structure: Introduction; Background; Main body; Conclusion; Acknowledgements (when appropriate); References; Appendices (when appropriate); Biographical notes.

Section headings should be in bold and left justified, with only the first letter capitalized and numbered consecutively (1, 2, etc.). Sub-section headings should be in italic letters and left justified, with only the first letter capitalized (numbered 1.1, 1.2, etc.).

Please make sure that you use as much as possible normal fonts in your documents (Times New Roman, 10pt). Special fonts may cause problems during processing.

Very important: do not alter the formatting and style layouts which have been set up in this template document.

2. General guidelines for preparing your text

Carefully revise your text to avoid typos.

Bulleted lists may be included and should look like this:

0. First point;

0. Second point;

0. Etc.

Do not use hyphenation at the end of a line.

Do not use footnotes.

Always use metric units.

3. Construction of references

References should be added at the end of the paper, and its corresponding citation will be added in the order of their appearance in the text. Authors should ensure that every reference in the text appears in the list of references and vice versa.

In the text, the number of the reference should be given in square brackets (for instance, [1] / [1],[2] / [1]-[3] / [1], [3], [2]-[4] / etc.).

For references with more than two authors, text citations should be shortened to the first name followed by et al., e.g.: Author1 [1] states...; Author2 and Author3 [2] presented... ; Author4 et al. [3] demonstrated…

Only essential references, which are directly referred to in the text, should be included in the reference list.

Some examples of how your references should be listed (based on IEEE Citation Reference), are given at the end of this template in the ‘References’ section, which will allow you to assemble your reference list according to the correct format and font size.

4. Tables

The tables should be numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2, etc.). Headings should be placed above tables, centered. Tables must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately. Below is an example of a table.

Table 1. Example of a table

|Column heading |Column A |Column B |

|Entry 1 |x |x |

|Entry 2 |x |x |

|Entry 3 |x |x |

5. Figures and equations

All figures should be good quality and numbered with Arabic numerals (1, 2, etc.). All photographs, schemas, graphs and diagrams are to be referred to as figures. Low-quality figures are not acceptable. Figures must be embedded into the text and not supplied separately. Lettering and symbols should be clearly defined either in the caption or in a legend provided as part of the figure. Figures should be placed as close as possible to the first reference to them in the text. Headings should be placed bellow the figures, centered.
