Dec 15-20 Choose an invention!!

DEC 19-20 Bring your INVENTION FAIR PATENT PROPOSAL with you to class for approval. (Worth 10 points)

Dec 20 Start imagining and creating your invention!!

Jan 17 *If a teacher approves your patent, gather materials and

begin your project.

*Start writing in your Invention Journal. You should record your progress throughout the process in your journal. It is due at the Invention Fair.

*Create your invention and collect data. Be as specific as you can.

*Take photos to document your progress.

Jan 17 Invention Design is DONE!!

Update on progress – Bring your Advertisment to class.– You will be creating an advertisement of your invention to share as an update. (Worth 20 points)

Jan 17-30 Write your Invention Journal

*Prepare your notes and results for a final project report. Make sure to include all your data in the report.

*You must include research about your invention. All the information will be collected in your journal so when you create your display for the Invention Fair it will be ready to create.

Jan 30 Invention Journal Due! (Worth 50 points)

Jan 30-- Prepare for Invention Fair Presentation

Feb 8 *Construct a display. Include criteria listed on your Invention Journal.

*Prepare an oral presentation of your work. Practice giving your presentation in front of friends and family members.

Feb 8-9 Invention Fair Displays DUE!!

*Bring your completed display to school.

Feb 9 Invention FAIR!!!!

Presentations – this is when you’ll give your oral presentation to a group or the class.

FEB 9 My Invention Journal Due!!!!

Your invention journal is to be completed and turned in on due date. A final project (multi-media) will be done after the invention fair to ‘sell’ your product to the school (
