________________________

2000 - Present

ASSET MANAGEMENT FINANCE LLC, New York City

Vice Chairman & Founder

2009 - 2012

President & CEO

2003 - 2009

A private investment firm focused exclusively on the asset management industry.

Founded in 2003 to address the unique capital needs of investment management firms

while preserving their independence, growth and long-term viability. Makes passive,

minority investments in asset managers in which management retains majority

economics and complete operational autonomy, AMF is not an operator of investment

management firms. AMF utilizes flexible investment structures tailored to a company*s

specific needs and centered around substantial alignment of incentives with

management. Investment firm (not a fund) backed by a strong institutional shareholder

base: Credit Suisse, Tokio Marine & Nichido Fire and National Bank Financial. AMF has

invested in 21 managers (totaling $80 billion in AUM), representing approximately $800

million of committed capital across a broad range of firms including alternative

managers, traditional long-only, wealth management and private equity in the U.S.,

Europe and Australia. Majority interest was sold to Credit Suisse in August, 2008.

UNITED ASSET MANAGEMENT CORPORATION, Boston

1980 - 2000

Chairman, President & CEO

I founded this investment management holding company in 1980 and continued as its

CEO for almost twenty years. The total amount of equity capital raised was under $80

million (1981 每 1986). UAM grew, through over 50 acquisitions, to $200 billion in assets

under management, $1 billion in annual revenues, over $200 million of cash earnings, a

New York Stock Exchange listing and a stock market value (after regular dividends and

$650 million of share buybacks) of more than $1.5 billion. UAM was sold in September,

2000 to Old Mutual, Plc.

PUTNAM INVESTMENTS, Boston

1967 每 1980

CEO & President

I began as Manager of the George Putnam Fund (a balanced mutual fund), became

Director of Research (1968), Chief Investment Officer (1970), President (1975), and

CEO (1977). Putnam*s assets under management grew more than five-fold during the

bear market decade of the 1970*s. I left in 1980 to found United Asset Management.

ANCHOR CORPORATION, Elizabeth, N. J.

1964 - 1967

Assistant Fund Manager & Analyst

A mutual fund management company. I began as an Analyst following chemical and

drug stocks but eventually became an Assistant Fund Manager of Diversified Investment
