GENERAL INFORMATION
Pre-registration required. Registration link found at: medicine.uiowa.edu/cme All payments must be made by credit card. Registration closes September 25 at 12:00 noon.
The registration fee covers the cost of webinar conference software and coordination, registration fee expenses, keynote speaker expenses, and CE recording.
Nursing Credits: 5.25 contact hours will be granted by UI Hospitals and Clinics Department of Nursing (IBN Approved Provider #34). Participants must attend the entire program to receive full credit.

Objectives:
Apply knowledge of acute distress and posttraumatic stress symptoms to support neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) parents
Identify strategies for improving clinical documentation Identify how early identification of abnormal maternal
vital signs impacts maternal well being Discuss contemporary outcome of infants born with con-
genital heart defects Discuss methods used to detect congenital heart defects Review neonatal presentations of select congenital heart
defects Define implicit bias Identify the impact of implicit bias in the workplace Identify strategies to mitigate implicit bias Discuss about the latest products, public health preven-
tion strategies, and how to promote prevention and cessation with patients. Describe the development of the Perinatal Care Clinic (PCC) model Discuss the goals and desired outcomes of PCC Analyze the effectiveness of PCC from a patient perspective and from a care provider perspective Discuss stabilization of common neonatal conditions requiring escalation to tertiary/quaternary NICU [term and preterm infants] Discuss the epidemiology of parent and caregiver vaccine hesitancy Discuss pelvic organ prolapse: causes and treatment options. Discuss and highlight several common concerning findings in a newborn infant Review the epidemiology of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and its local prevalence Discuss the evolution of recommended infection control measures, particularly in the healthcare setting Review current public health and personal preventative measures to prevent SARS-CoV-2 infections

Children's and Women's Services Fall Nursing Conference -- This annual conference is designed to explore patient care innovations for neonates, infants, children, adolescents and women throughout their life span. Presentations on new evidence-based standards of nursing care as well as new technologies, procedures, and research illustrate the constantly evolving nature of nursing practice in a changing health care environment. Topics address both behavioral and clinical issues that are relevant to nurses and ancillary professionals in a variety of settings including acute care, ambulatory, and community-based practices.

Children's and Women's Services Fall Nursing Conference - Virtual 2020
The Children's and Women's Services annual three-day Fall Nursing Conference is traditionally held as a live event. Due to Covid-19, it was decided that the 2020 conference would be condensed into one information packed day, and presented virtually via Zoom webinar. The Zoom link to access the event will be sent to the email address entered during the registration process.
How to Register:
Registrations will take place ONLINE only: Go to medicine.uiowa.edu/cme/ - Click on `Upcoming Programs'. Choose your vocation and enter your license number. All registrations require use of VISA, MasterCard, or Discover credit
card. Refund policy: Full minus $20 cancellation fee if notification received
on or before 8/18/2020.
Note: When registering, you will be asked to choose which of the breakout sessions you would like to attend throughout the day.
