Stags lead, 1-0 11/17/16 (L, 41-65) 11/17/16 (L, 41-65)

Nicole Hayner was the only River Hawk to reach double digits as the Fairfield defense limited UMass Lowell to single digits in three quarters.

NOTEBOOK

LOOKING AT UMASS LOWELL The River Hawks look for back-to-wins as they head to Fairfield for a mid-week contest that begins a four-game road swing.

A WIN WOULD.. -Give UMass Lowell back-to-back wins for first time since 2015-16 -Tie the all-time series at 1-1

A LOOK BACK The River Hawks ended their two-game skid with a 102-47 win against Fisher College on November 27. It was the first time UMass Lowell eclipsed the century mark since a 134-65 win in 2012, and marks the third-time for the feat in the program's history. The 55-point margin of victory is also the third largest for a UMass Lowell team.

LEADING THE FLOCK The River Hawks are paced by three scorers in double-figures, led by senior Kayla Gibb's 14.3 and Paula Lopez's 12.7 points per game. Gibbs is also averaging 10.2 rebounds following three straight double-doubles. Brianna Rudolph rounds out the trio with 10.2 points per game. Jennifer Louro and Lopez leads the squad with 13 total assists. On the defensive side of the ball, Cierra Stanciel, along with Lopez, have recorded seven steals. As a unit, UMass Lowell is shooting 42.5 percent from the field, and 33.6 percent from beyond the arc.

RACING TO 70 In Coach Harris' four seasons her team is 15-4 when the River Hawks score 70 or more points.

CAREER NIGHT In Tuesday's game against Fisher, four River Hawks set career highs in points led by Jennifer Louro's 18 and Cierra Stanciel's 15. Both Angel Agoth and Katie McKie chipped in 10, while Agoth set a personal best with 13 rebounds, as well.

SPILLING INTO THE PAINT In the win against Fisher College, the River Hawks set a DI program record with 62 points in the paint. Harris' squad has now recorded 50 or more points in the paint in two of its last three games.

BOARDS GALOR UMass Lowell also grabbed 61 rebounds against the Falcons to set a DI program as well. The all-time record is 70 boards against Bryant in 1991.

LOURO'S LONGBALL After the freshman connected on four of UMass Lowell's eight triples against Fisher, she paces the offense with 10 three-pointers.

O/U 20 For the first time in 23 games, the River Hawks had a 20-point scorer after Gibbs led the way with 25 against Fisher.

PARTY OF FIVE The win against Fisher College marked the third time since joining Division I, the River Hawks had five or more players in double figures. The other two times were January 22, 2017 at UMBC, and in 2014 against Mt. Ida.

LUCK OF THE IRISH Saoirse Power-Cassidy scored a career-high 11 points in the loss against Texas Tech, including three triples.

SPANISH SHARPSHOOTER Lopez is second on the team with her 47.5 shooting percentage, and 29 made field goals. In her first two career games, the guard connected on 58.3 and 65.6 percent from the field, respectively.

LINDA THE LATVIAN Linda Svenne leads the team with her 46.7 percent clip from long range and her seven triples. In her collegiate debut, she connected on four threes en route to her 14-point performance.

50 TIMES 8 For only the ninth time in the Division I era, the River Hawks grabbed 50 or more rebounds, grabbing 61 against Fisher setting a new DI game-high.

THE ROOKIE IS TWICE AS NICE For the second consecutive week, Lopez was named the America East Rookie of the Week. This marks the first time the River Hawks have had multiple Rookie of the Week honors since join-

ing the league.

SO OFFENSIVE In the season opener at Rhode Island, the River Hawks recorded more offensive rebounds (19) than defensive (16) in a single game, for the first time since the end of the 2014-15 season. Oda Shackelford led the effort with five of her own.

FRESHMEN FRENZY In each of the season's first five games, the River Hawks have had three freshman in the starting lineup with Paula Lopez, Katie McKie and Jennifer Louro each earning a spot.

THE THREE IS BACK! Last season, UMass Lowell recorded its worst three-point shooting season since 2013-14, only connecting at a 29.2 percent clip. So far in 2017-18, the River Hawks are back atop the conference, ranking third, with a 33.0 percent performance in five games.
