WARNING!

Under certain circumstances, recreational oxygen therapy can be hazardous to your health. If you have COPD or any other respiratory condition, consult your physician before using an oxygen concentrator!

SETTING UP & OPERATING YOUR AOCS-10

1. Position your oxygen concentrator near an electrical outlet in a well-ventilated area.

DANGER - Keep the oxygen concentrator at least 5 feet from sparks or flames.

NOTE — Do not plug your oxygen concentrator to an electrical outlet controlled by a wall switch. NO other appliances should be plugged into the wall outlet with the oxygen concentrator.

2. Position your oxygen concentrator at least 6 inches (16 cm) from walls, draperies, or any other objects that might prevent the proper flow of air in and out of your oxygen concentrator. The Oxygen concentrator should be located in an area free from pollutants or fumes.

3. Before operating your oxygen concentrator, always check to be sure the air filter (located on the back of your unit) is clean. Proper cleaning of this filter is discussed in the “Caring for Your Concentrator” section on page.

4. Connect the larger end of your clear vinyl tubing to the oxygen outlet connection (#4 in the diagram on page 2) and the other end to your Aromarizer or Zen-Station.

5. Remove the power cord completely from the line cord strap, Make sure the power switch is in the “Off” position, and insert the plug into the wall outlet.

WARNING - Do not attempt to plug in the unit if the power cord is damaged.

6. Press the power switch to the “On” position. When the oxygen concentrator is turned on, the power light will illuminate.

NOTE — If there is an audible signal alarm and the unit is not operating, there is no power coming to the unit. Refer to the “Trouble Shooting Chart” on page 5. If you cannot correct this problem after referring to the “Troubleshooting Chart”, call Airheads customer service (Toll-Free in the USA) at 1.888.622.7662 and press option #3. International calls call: 1.561.637.0290 and press option #3.

NOTE — The numbers on the flow meter tube (#5 on the diagram on page 2) refers to how many LPM (Liters Per Minute) of oxygen are being put out by the concentrator. LPM refers to the volume of oxygen being produced and has nothing to do with the percentage of oxygen purity. When you turn the black knob clockwise on top of the flow meter tube (#6 on the diagram of page 2), the flow volume decreases (and will eventually shut off the oxygen flow). If the black knob is turned counter-clockwise, the flow volume increases. The AOCS-10 will produce over 90% of pure oxygen at 10 LPM or less. When you increase the oxygen flow above 10 LPM, you will decrease the 90% percentage of oxygen (purity) being produced.

WARNING - Do not attempt to remove the outer casing of your oxygen concentrator or you will void your warranty!

CARING AND PERIODIC MAINTENANCE FOR YOUR UNIT

WARNING – Do not obstruct the flow of your oxygen concentrator! Always run your oxygen concentrator having at least one valve in the “open” position on your Aromarizer or Zen-Station diffuser. If the oxygen has nowhere to flow freely, the back pressure will damage the oxygen concentrator and void your warranty!

Air Filter

There is minimum maintenance involved when caring for your AOCS-10 oxygen concentrator. The air filter should be cleaned at least once a month by removing the air filter located on the back of the unit, washing it in a solution of warm water and dishwashing detergent, rinsing thoroughly with warm tap water, and towel dry. The filter should be totally dry before reinstalling.

WARNING – Do not attempt to operate the oxygen concentrator without the air filter installed or if it is still damp.

Exterior Cabinet

Clean the concentrator exterior cabinet by using a damp cloth or sponge with a mild house-hold cleaner and wipe it dry. Do not apply liquid directly to the cabinet or utilize any petroleum-based solvents or cleaning agents.
