Gender Identity and Using Gender-Inclusive LanguageStarting July 2020, California Library Literacy Services has updated how it collects gender identity statistics to capture more accurate information about how CLLS participants reflect the communities we serve, and to provide programs with inclusive language that welcomes all members of a community into CLLS’s services.Below are resources that provide the Why’s and How’s of using gender-inclusive language.
