Je leur ai envoyé le message = I sent the message to them

 

 

J’ai donné le paquet à l’employé = I gave the parcel to the official

Je lui ai donné le paquet = I gave the parcel to him

 

 

Il a offert les fleurs à sa femme = He gave the flowers to his wife

Il lui a offert les fleurs = he gave the flowers to her

 

 

 

 

 

Tu me téléphones? = Will you give me (to me) a ring ?

Il nous donne trop de devoirs = He gives us (to us) too much homework
