Over the past several months, our agency and communities have taken strategic steps to help keep ourselves and each other safe. We are in the middle of a global health pandemic and flu season is approaching. This year, it’s more important than ever that you and your family members get your annual flu vaccine. Getting your vaccine is one of the easiest and most effective way to protect against the flu; and we don’t know enough about COVID-19 to know what would happen if a person simultaneously contracts both viruses. Getting the flu shot protects ourselves and others from the flu, and also helps preserve scarce medical resources for health care providers and individuals in their care who need them. Making it easy for you to get vaccinatedEach year, we offer worksite clinics to provide a convenient way for you to get your annual flu vaccine. This year, we are continuing these clinics. We’re also offering special clinics where you can bring your family members so you can safely get vaccinated together outside of the doctor’s office. Flu shots are provided at no cost if you or your family members are covered by the state’s insurance program. There are three ways to get your vaccine:Worksite specific clinics.
