Game Appreciation Activity #1: Warm-up Activity #2: PracticeActivity #3: Game BoundariesXXXQuestions about the warm- up:As a defender, how did you position your body in relation to the location of the Frisbee? What did you do in order to recognize how you were going to go for the interception and not get tricked by a fake pass?XXXQuestions from the practice activity: What did you do as an individual player to not let the opponent complete a pass? How did you find it easier for yourself and harder for the opponent to not receive a pass? Final Discussion:Why do you guys think it was hard for the defenders when it came down to intercepting the last pass? What do you guys think is the easiest way to defend an opponent?XXXPlayers6 or 8 player’s will work, but prefer 6.6 or 8 player’s will work, but prefer 6.6 or 8 player’s will work, but prefer 6.Equipment 1 Frisbee 1 Frisbee 1 FrisbeeRules Students cannot make body contact with opponents. When guarding a player that has possession of the Frisbee, the defending player should be arms length away. Student’s can pivot/ take 3 steps after catching the Frisbee and can hold it for as long as they need to before passing. Pass the Frisbee from one side, to the middle, and then to the other side without getting it intercepted.Students will get a point for every 5 completed passes and 2 points for every intercept pass. First team to 5 points wins. Students cannot make body contact with opponents. When guarding a player that has possession of the Frisbee, the defending player should be arms length away. Student’s can pivot or take 3 steps after catching Frisbee and can hold the Frisbee for as long as they need to. The main focus here is to try and intercept the passes during the keep away.No sliding allowed. No diving allowed. Students can pivot/take 3 stapes after catching the Frisbee and can hold it for as long as they need to.Students will understand when it is the correct moment to go for the interception or to stay marking the opponent. Offense needs to complete 3 passes before they can complete the last pass in the middle square. Defends needs to intercept the passes being made by the offense. If the defends intercepts a pass, that will be 3 points. If the defends deflects the pass, that’s 1 point. If offense completes a pass in the middle it will be 2 points. First team to 10 points wins. No diving allowed. No sliding allowed. Game Appreciation Activity #1:Activity #2:Activity #3Boundaries(Modifications)The boundaries will change to a bigger size if student’s are not having trouble intercepting the disc, since the bigger the field, the more space there is more an opponent to complete a pass. The boundaries will change to a smaller size if students are having a hard time intercepting the pass. The less space there is, the easier it will be for student’s to intercept the pass being made. The less space there is, the easier it will be for student’s to intercept the passes. The boundaries will change to a triangle in the middle if students are not having trouble passing the last pass to the center. This will allow the defenders to intercept the pass easier and it will make it harder for the offense to complete the last pass in the middle. The boundaries will change to a bigger size square in the middle if students are having a hard time completing a pass. This will make it harder for the defenders to intercept the pass. The more space there is, the easier it will be for student’s to intercept the ball. Players(Modifications)If the activity is to easy, I will increase the number of attackers to make it harder for the defenders to intercept the pass. If the activity get’s to hard, I will increase the number of defenders and less attackers so that it is easier to intercept and harder to complete a pass. Equipment (Modifications)The equipment will remain the same even after the activity get’s too easy or hard. The equipment will remain the same even after the activity get’s too easy or hard. The equipment will remain the same even after the activity get’s too easy or hard. Rules (Modifications)If the activity get’s to easy, student’s will not be able to take 3 steps and they can’t hold the Frisbee for more then 5 seconds and student’s must complete at least 2 passes before passing it to the other square. If the activity get’s to hard, students will be able to hold the Frisbee for as long as they need to before passing it. They also won’t need to pass the disc a certain amount of times before they pass to the next square. If students are having trouble intercepting the pass or deflecting passes, they can get closer to the offensive player attempting a pass. If the activity get’s too easy, student’s will have a time limit as to how long they can hold the disc before they pass the disc. Depending on how teams are doing, they will have their different modifications. If to many passes are being complete then I will only let the offense have the Frisbee for 3 second and they cannot pivot and they will only be allowed to pass the way they were facing when they caught the Frisbee. If the activity get’s to hard, students will be able to hold the disc for as long as they need. There won’t be a passing limit before student’s can score. If it’s to hard for the defenders, they will be allowed to get closer then arms length away. The points for the defenders will increase so that the defenders feel they achieve something. If the activity get’s too easy, students will need to complete 5 passes before passing to the middle. This will make it harder for the offense and easier for defends since there will be more passes to complete for the offense. If it get’s too easy for the defenders to intercept a pass, then they must catch the Frisbee with both hands in order for it to count as a point. If the activity gets to hard, the offense will only need to complete 2 passes before they can pass inside the middle square. If the activity get’s too hard for the defenders then just by deflecting the pass will count for a point. ................
