How to Register for Courses

1. Sign into your My.IllinoisState.edu account.

2. Sign into Central Login.

3. Select the "Academics" link.

4. Select the "Register for Classes" link.

Menu Options

View My Classes ? The View My Classes page shows what classes you are currently enrolled in.

Class Search and Enroll ? The Class Search and Enroll page will allow you to search and enroll in classes by the "course number" or "department code".

Drop Class ? The Drop Classes page will take you to the screen above to drop courses from your current schedule.

Update Classes ? The Update Classes page allows you to adjust the "units enrolled" or the "grading basis" for your courses, if permitted per the university catalog.

Swap Classes ? The Swap Classes page will allow you to select a course to be swapped from your current schedule and select a replacement course to enroll or be waitlisted in.

Planner ? The Planner page allows you to store classes for future use, add courses from the course catalog, add courses from your My Academic Requirements page, and make edits to your Planner for future semesters.

My Academic Requirements ? The My Academic Requirements page allows you to enroll in courses directly from your Academic/Graduation Requirements page (Degree Audit).

Course Finder ? The Course Finder page is hyperlinked to open a new tab in your browser to view course descriptions, general education courses, and graduation requirements.

Registration Information ? The Registration Information page provides information to assist with registering for courses.

5. Select the "Planner" Option. "Planner" allows you to store courses for future use. Students can add courses to their schedule directly from the course catalog or add from the "My Academic Requirements" page and make edits to your Planner for future semesters.

6. Select "My Academic Requirements". This page allows you to enroll in courses directly from your Academic/Graduation Requirements page (Degree Audit).

Graduation requirements apply to all students: Total Hours, Specific B.A./B.S. Requirements, General Education, Major-Minor Options, Senior College Hours, Grad Point Average, Removal of Incompletes, Residence Requirements, Time Limit for Courses are Pre-requisites, AMALI (formally Global Studies), Professional Practice and Independent Study, and Disciplinary Hold.

7. Select "View My Classes". This page will give you the option to view courses in alphabetical order by selecting "By Class" or by the date/times of the courses when selecting "By Date".
