All employees are required to comply with relevant safety procedures/guidelines and equal opportunity principles at all times.Role StatementThe Corporate Information Consultant:Provides support or facilitates training to staff in the Department of Communities (Head Office) in the Electronic Document and Records Management System (EDRMS). Provides training support for the EDRMS program.Ensures critical information is documented on the EDRMS files in accordance with departmental practice and the State Records Act 2000.Supports and promotes records and information management principles and promotes staff development by facilitating attendance at training.Participates as a member of Information Management Services in the ongoing development of EDRMS.Duties and ResponsibilitiesInformation System Undertakes testing of changes as required within EDRMS.Assists in making recommendations to resolve system difficulties.User ServicesEnsures that all users in Head Office are properly trained in EDRMS.Ensures that changes in work practices associated with EDRMS are identified and provides support to management to implement changes.Works with appropriate user groups to ensure that changes are incorporated into policy and work practices.Participates in the development and enhancement of training materials.District Planning and AnalysisParticipates in planning to ensure that EDRMS training and implementation are coordinated with all other activities within Head Office.Supports the EDRMS training team in planning the training and ongoing development of EDRMS.Contributes to the planning of changes or enhancements required to EDRMS for greater efficiency in the use of the system.ManagementAssists with the ongoing implementation of EDRMS to all departmental staff.Assists and supports the retrieval and analysis of reports from EDRMS.Quality assures client/administrative information and records for accuracy and compliance with departmental legislative, policy, case practice and administrative best practice standards.TrainingProvides support or facilitates ongoing training in work practices to support professional development.Provides training to Departmental staff in both online and classroom environment for the implementation and ongoing development of EDRMS.Continues to support training for staff experiencing difficulties, including the provision of one on one support for users in Head Office who require additional assistance.Provides as part of a team a help desk support to Head Office on all matters relating to EDRMS training.Corporate ResponsibilitiesExhibits accountability, professional integrity and respect consistent with Communities Values, the Code of Conduct, and the public sector Code of Ethics.Actively participates in the Communities performance development process and pursues professional and personal development opportunities.Undertakes other responsibilities as directedOtherParticipates in Emergency Management and Response duties as required.Other duties as required.Essential Work-Related Requirements (Selection Criteria)Demonstrated experience using an electronic document management and records management system (EDRMS). High level experience using desktop applications, including software for queries and reporting.High level verbal and written communication skills, particularly in relation to training.High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively and negotiate effectively.Desirable Work-Related Requirements (Selection Criteria)Experience in Objective and/or Content Manager (TRIM) EDRMS.Essential Eligibility Requirements / Special Appointment Requirements Appointment is subject to a satisfactory National Police Clearance.Possession of a current Western Australian 'C' or 'C-A' Class Driver’s Licence or equivalent, and the ability to travel in response to organisational needs. This requirement continues for the duration of employment in this position and from time to time production of the licence may be required upon request by the Department.
