INTRODUCTION

Petroserv is an ISO 9001:2008, OHSAS 18001:2007 and ISO 14001:2004 Certified Company which offers a diverse range of engineering and construction services in its three main areas of activity, namely Infrastructure, Oil & Gas and Building.

We are one of the leading EPIC contractors in the State of Qatar having been in existence since 1978 and have developed an enviable proven track record with a large variety of Qatari and International Clients. Some of these include: Qatar Petroleum, Qatar Steel, Qatargas, Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar General Electricity & ater Corporation (Kahramaa), Private Engineering Office, Qatar Armed Forces, Mannesman Demag, Gencor Beverley, Siemens Via Pomini, FCB and CCIC, Hyundai, and Iberdrola to name but a few.

In the unlikely event that we do not have the necessary skills and experience within Petroserv to undertake certain elements of any contracting project we have, as in the past, created a strategic alliance with another contracting company which has the required skills to undertake that element of the works. Some of the international companies with which we have worked in the past include: Siemens VAI Pomini (Italy), Somac (Lebanon), and Punj Lloyd (India).

INFRASTRUCTURE DIVISION

Petroserv has a unique combination of technically qualified and experienced people with construction skills and a proven track record of successfully executing Qatari projects, as well as direct access to the required resources and equipment to confidently deliver even the largest civil engineering project. The Companies primary market focus is infrastructure development where Petroserv believes that it has the edge to provide clients with the appropriate solution to their needs.

With one of its core values as innovation and the synergies provided by its other operating divisions, Petroserv Infrastructure Division has the resources and infrastructure required to meet the diverse challenges of each client’s individual needs and requirements.

Over the years the Infrastructure Division has developed a number of very skilled and experienced project management teams that are capable of undertaking almost any civil infrastructure projects. Our main areas of specialization are civil projects within Qatar’s Industrial Cities with their Oil and Gas focused systems and procedures and any below ground infrastructure type developments. Especially, over coming the challenges of constructing water retaining structures and pumping stations with their associated collection/distribution networks in Qatar.

Extensive experience in the design and construction of new pumping stations and upgrades has demonstrated Petroserv’s expertise and proficiency in the delivery over a wide range of pumping sizes handling media: sewage, ground and surface water, treated sewage effluent and potable water. Our clients include Ashghal (Public Works Authority) Kahramaa (Qatar General Electricity Corporation), Ministry of Defence, the Emiri Guard and Qatar Petroleum.

Petroserv has all the skills, experience and equipment required to construct a wide range of reservoirs and tanks, through design and build and traditional contracts. These are constructed as standalone projects or as part of other major civil works.

Our clients include Ashghal (Public Works Authority), Qatar Armed Forces, Qatar Petroleum (QP) and the Emiri Guard.

Petroserv has developed the key skills required to deliver water retainingconcrete structures to the highest standard interfacing with electro-mechanical works and meeting the hydraulic performance requirements. Petroserv is ready to take on reservoir and tank works on the major Qatari works programmes.

► Industrial Civils

With its origins in the oil and gas business, almost all of Petroserv’s business systems have been developed to ensure consistent delivery of successful projects in this precise and demanding environment. Accordingly, Petroserv has been particularly well positioned in the market to expand into Industrial Civil. Our primary focus in this market sector is the industrial development of green and brown field sites within Qatar’s Industrial Cities. Petroserv has the knowledge, experience and ability to complete in these markets where the customer is more demanding and better understands the benefits of higher quality build and safety standards. Petroserv has undertaken a number of prestigious projects either on its own, or as a partner to some of the most reputable international construction companies.

► Reticulation Network

Petroserv are expert in the field of trench excavation and piping networks being arguably the leading Qatari contractor in this field. Combined with our experience in microtunneling, we are uniquely placed to deliver, and have experience in, reticulation projects both in the developed urban environment and the undeveloped areas of Qatar. Petroserv has installed hundreds of kilometres of pipeline for major clients in Qatar including Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation (Kahramaa), Qatar Petroleum (QP), and the Private Engineering Office (PEO).

► Electro-Mechanical

With its origins in the oil and gas business, Petroserv has developed an electro-mechanical business dedicated to infrastructure works that undertakes full electro-mechanical works for pumping stations, substations and electrical distribution works.

Our clients include Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) and the Private Engineering Office.

Our portfolio of projects includes:

• Upgrading of Umm Salal Water Station: Design, construct and commission new pumping station at existing site to supply

distribution network including 4 No. 450 l/s VFD pumps and all supporting electro-mechanical works.

OIL & GAS DIVISION

Oil & Gas Division is an EPIC contractor and market leader in providing fabrication and construction services across the structural steel, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and piping disciplines in the oil and gas, metals and minerals and power generation industries.

Specialist sections within Oil & Gas Division provide experienced management, extensive fabrication capabilities and skilled construction, we have commissioning teams for capital projects, turnarounds, shutdowns and plant maintenance. These services are supported by flexible construction operating systems as well as an extensive fleet of company owned cranes, and equipment. The Oil & Gas Division and Infrastructure Division of Petroserv are capable of delivering almost all multi-disciplinary construction project in Qatar.

► EPIC Projects

Petroserv is capable of carrying out Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning (EPIC) Contracts within the Oil & Gas sector, specializing in projects with a Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation orientation. We always complete our works to the complete satisfaction of our client.

Petroserv has successfully completed EPIC Contracts for our Clients such as Qatar Petroleum, RasGas, QAPCO and Qatar Steel Company.

Petroserv has expertise in mobilization of personnel, plant and equipment required for all oil and gas refinery and petrochemical plant shutdown activities.

► Structural Design & Fabrication

Petroserv has the capability and infrastructure to offer the full design and construction of all types of structural elements. Our fabrication can produce single units for transportation to site, or in the case of larger structures,

elements for assembly on site. Petroserv’s service includes the full site installation or assembly, utilizing our skilled labour force and in-house cranage, plant and equipment.

Petroserv’s main Energy (Oil & Gas) facility is situated in the Umm Salal area near Doha. This facility has a covered workshop over 1,600 m2 and an open yard of over 20,000 m2. The fabrication shop is equipped with the latest machinery which includes Oxygen/Gas Profile Cutters, Guillotines, Plate Rollers and different industry types of welding equipment.

► Piping - Manufacture and Installation

Petroserv is equipped with major types of welding processes which include:

• Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW)

• Tungsten Inert Gas Welding (TIG)

• Metal Inert Gas Welding (MIG)

• Fluxed Cored Arc Welding (FCAW)

Petroserv is able to manufacture piping in a range of sizes in all types of ferrous and non-ferrous materials which include:

• Carbon Steel

• Stainless Steel Duplex

• Cupro Nickel

• Aluminum

Petroserv has in excess of 40 Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) for steel. Welding procedures and welders are qualified as per ASME Sec IX and OP specification and certified by TPI. Our welders certifications are renewed every six months based on the successful production welds actually produced. We have a proven track record of consistently delivering quality

performance with defect free products on time. Accordingly, we encourage our customers to verify this claim by checking our weld repair rate records which are invariably under one percent of total weld length.

► Storage Tanks – Fabrication, Installation and Refurbishment

Petroserv has designed and manufactured above ground steel tanks to store flammable and combustible liquids and chemicals in accordance to API standards. Types of tanks include Cone Roof Tanks, Dome Roof Tanks and Floating Roof Tanks of various diameters.

Petroserv also undertakes tank refurbishment, replacement of shell/roof/bottom plate, desludging and all associated works, including fire detection/protection, level gauging systems and cathodic protection.

► Transformer Explosion Prevention Systems

Petroserv is the leading installer and executer of Transformer Explosion Prevention Systems in Qatar. We have successfully executed the vast majority of the Transformer Explosion Prevention Systems for Kahramaa Phase 7 and 8 Substations in association with companies such as Hyundai, Iberdrola, Isolux, Areva and ABB.

Petroserv’s fabrication facility at Umm Salal is certified to fabricate pressurevessels and other pressure retaining items in accordance to ASME codes and repair and carries out alterations to pressure retaining items in accordance to ASME codes and repair and carries out alterations to pressure retaining vessels in accordance NBIC. Our team of highly qualified engineers and QA/QC personnel the necessary expertise and experience to cater to the design, fabrication and repair needs of any client.

Petroserv’s rapidly expanding Building Division continues to produce high quality work on time, safely and profitably – serving its customer’s needs. Maintaining our reputation for quality, integrity and complete customer satisfaction remains our highest priority.

Emerging from maintenance focused business; development into mainline building works has taken place in recent years in response to client demand. This growth and development has brought about the creation of the Building and HVAC/MEP Departments to provide the management, skills, staff and labour required to deliver this broader work base. Labour and staff growth has ensured the levels of competence to achieve high quality and maintain enthusiasm and the commitment to succeed.

The Client for this project is Qatar Fertiliser Company. The Scope of Services in general consists of operation, routine, predictive, preventive, maintenance and overhaul cup repair services as well as complete technical and design engineering backup of the facilities for the HVAC and refrigeration systems including Chillers, Package A/C Units, Window and Split Air Conditioners, Domestic Water Pump, Freezers, Cold Room, Air Curtains, Water Coolers, Ventilation Fans & Exhaust Fans. The main elements of this scope include:

• Provision of Qualified Personnel, Materials, Equipment, Machinery and Tools

Project 6: REPLACEMENT OF 2106FG TANK BOTTOM AND CATHODIC PROTECTION SYSTEM AT QP REFINERY, MESAIEED

The Client for this project is Qatar Petroleum. The objective of this contract is to carry out the replacement of tank bottom and Cathodic Protection (CP) system of tank 2106FG (Decant Oil Tank) at QP Refinery, Mesaieed, which shall include but not limited to the removal of existing bottom and its CP System, supply, fabrication and installation of new bottom, perform Non-Destructive Tests(NDT’s) to newly installed bottom and installation of new CP system for the new bottom, and all other related works, all to be in accordance with the Scope of Works’ Standards.

Project 7: OPENING, CLOSING AND REPLACEMENT ACTIVITIES DURING DR1 PLANT SHUTDOWN

Project 8: DOHA & RAYYAN SEWERAGE AL AZIZIA AREA DRAINAGE AND OUTFALL – CP693

The Client for this project is Ashghal, Drainage Department and the project comprises the construction of surface and ground water drainage networks, trunk mains and an attenuation tank in the Al Azizia area of the city of Doha, Qatar. The main elements of this project include inter alia:

• 21.3km of road surface drainage and vitrified clay (VC) gully connections (average depth 1,5m),

• 13.2km of half perforated VC land drains (average depth 3,5 – 4,0m),

• 11,8km of non-perforated VC pipes (average depth 4,0 – 4,5m),

• 4,4km of reinforced concrete pipes (800 – 1200mm) at depths ranging between 3,5m and 8,0m,

• Construction of 1440 road gullies and 356 manholes of assorted sizes,

• Construction of 2,8km of RC GRP lined concrete encased surface drainage pipes by micro-tunneling of 1000 – 1400mm diameters at an average depth of 8 – 13m

• Construction of 1,8km of RC GRP lined concrete encased surface drainage pipes by micro-tunneling of 2000mm diameter at an average depth of 20m,

• Construction of 21 RC tunnel access shafts to the micro-tunneling of approximately 7m x 5m size,

• Construction of a reinforced concrete storm water attenuation tank of 21 000m3 storage capacity (60x28x11m).

Project 9: CONSTRUCTION WORK OF TREATED SEWAGE EFFLUENT (TSE) PIPELINE FROM SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT (STP) TO DUKHAN

This contract is being carried out by Petroserv for Qatar Petroleum and is being executed in and around the Dukhan Township and the Dukhan Sewage Treatment Works. Dukhan is situated in the west of Qatar. The scope of works includes the construction of the following:

• TSE pumping station adjacent to the TSE effluent storage tank in Dukhan STP,

• 2km of TSE transfer rising main from TSE pumping station to the Balancing Tank,

• Balancing tank 1,5km north west of Dukhan STP,

• 16km of TSE gravity and distribution lines,

• Flow meter chamber,

• Booster Pumping Station TSE Holding Tanks,

• All communications links within the system,

• All instrumentation for the ultrasonic sensors at the effluent storage tank, level switches at the TSE holding tanks and booster pumping station, and necessary modifications and integration into the existing STP SCADA system.

Project 10: CONSTRUCTION OF SEWAGE, WATER AND UTILITY SERVICES FOR HOSPITAL AND ACCOMMODATION DEVELOPMENT IN DUKHAN AND TREATED SEWAGE EFFLUENT (TSE) PIPELINES FOR DSSA

This project comprises the construction and commissioning of Dukhan sewage pipeline from the Dukhan Support Services Area (DSSA) to the Dukhan Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and the treated effluent pipeline from STP to the DSSA. In addition it is necessary to effect modifications to the existing sewage pump station, treated sewage effluent (TSE) return pumping station and rising main, irrigation

pumping station and ring main, all related telecommunications systems, as well as road works. Petroserv was required to execute all civil, structural, pipeline, mechanical, process, instrumentation, electrical and electronic aspects of the project.

This project was executed in the area of Dukhan situated in the west of Qatar and the Client was Qatar Petroleum.

A more detailed project scope of works includes the construction and commissioning of the following:

• Construction of a sewage pump station and pipeline from DSSA to new STP,

• Construction of a treated effluent pump station and pipeline from STP to DSSA,

• Modifications to the existing sewage pump station at DSSA,

• Sewage transfer pipeline/ rising main from DSSA Sewage Pump Station to the Dukhan STP inlet works,

• Communications link from the DSSA Sewage Pump Station to the Dukhan STP (SCADA system, necessary equipment and modifications of STP for full integration of DSSA within the STP Control system),

• Modifications to inlet works at the Dukhan STP,

• Construction of a new TSE pump station at the TSE Storage tank located in Dukhan STP,

• Communications link from the Dukhan STP to DSSA (SCADA system, necessary equipment and modifications of STP for full integration of DSSA within the STP Control system),

• Up grading of the existing sewage holding tank to TSE Storage Tank,

• Construction of a Control Room and all associated building services to accommodate MCC, PLC, UPS and battery backup etc, for the DSSA sewage and irrigation pumping stations,

• Provision of infrastructure and utility services for the development site designated for accommodation of Non-QP Personnel near Dukhan Township,

• Construction of a new access road and associated street lighting to the Dukhan Township.

Project 11: SEWAGE TREATMENT PLANT AT DUKHAN, QATAR PETROLEUM

An EPIC Contract for constructing a New Sewage Treatment Plant at Dukhan for QP under Contract reference: GTC 185/ED/02 was awarded to Petroserv during November 2002. The new plant has a capacity of 2430 cu. m per day to cater a population of 9000 residing in Dukhan Township and adjoining areas. The plant is designed to serve 12,000 persons at its full capacity. The plant is built on a modular treatment system based on sequence batch reactor process. The treated water from the plant has to comply the requirement of agriculture and irrigation standard as specified by SCENR.

The facilities included site survey, setting out, excavation, laying and testing of approx. 13,000 meters of VC Pipes of the collective system within the township, approx. 4,500 meters of ductile iron pipes for pressure mains to pump sewage from the Dukhan Township Pumping Station and 1,450 meters of VC Pipes for the gravity main to take the sewage to the sewage treatment plant situated at approx. 7 kms., from the Dukhan Pumping Station. The sewage treatment plant has 2 nos. of SBR Tanks, 1 No. each of pre-equalization tank, draw equalization tank, aerobic digester tank and treated effluent tank. All these tanks are glass lined internal and externally to take care of the extensive corrosive nature of the liquid processed. The base of these tanks is RCC construction with fibre glass lining. The facilities also include 5 buildings of varying dimensions to take care of the administration, Motor Control Units, Pump Stations and sludge thickening unit, one sludge drying bed approx. 40 x 15 meters, 1 evaporation lagoon of 6,000 cu. m., capacity and underground facilities for drainage and submersible pumps. All the buildings as water proofing carried out on the roof. The HVAC Works were carried out in all the buildings. Fire alarm system has been commissioned to take care of any untoward incidents. Road works inside the plant and an access road to the plant with asphalting was carried out as a part of the contract. The plant roads scope was approx. 10000 Sq. M., while that of the access road works around 2,000 sq. m., The total plant areas has been fenced and the whole plant has been graded and gravelled to eliminate flying of dust.

The mechanical installations included around 26 nos. of pumps and connected piping works and filtration unit consisting of compressors and blowers. The main equipment for the process are two decanting units housed in the SBR tanks.

The electrical units comprised of standby generator of 550 kva capacity, and a transformer of 800 KW capacity, 1 main distribution panel 3 motor control centres, 64 street and plant lighting poles with fixtures and other related accessories. The plant is controlled fully automated and controlled by a program logic control unit and is operated from the control room.

Project 12: POTABLE WATER, FIRE FIGHTING AND SEWERAGE SYSTEM FOR EMIRI GUARDS AT BARZAN CAMP

The Client for this project is the Emiri Guards and works included the construction of new potable water, fire fighting, and sewerage networks, in addition to the construction of a potable water storage reservoir and pumping station. The camp facility is located west of the city of Doha, Qatar. The scope of works entailed the following:

• 6650m of new gravity sewerage network,

• 6375m of new potable water network,

• 540m of new irrigation network,

• 5300m of new fire fighting and fire pumping system,

• Construction of a new potable water storage reservoir (20mx25mx6m),

• Upgrade of existing pumping station and electricity sub-station.

Project 13: REPLACEMENT OF BOILER SUPER HEATER AT QATAR PETROLEUM REFINERY

This critical shutdown was awarded to Petroserv during QP Refinery February 2004 Shutdown work. The work involved a critical erection of 125 T of Super Heater portion of Macchi Boiler at a radius of 32.5 mtr. This highly critical work was accomplished using 1200 T capacity Crane and other cranes of different capacities. Various sizes of piping work of carbon steel, alloy steel and stainless steel was also

involved in this project. Entire shutdown work was completed within the scheduled time.

Project 14: EPIC OF 1.5 MMIG POTABLE WATER TANK AT DUKHAN – QATAR PETROLEUM

Petroserv Limited have completed the EPIC of the above General Tenders Committee Contract for Qatar Petroleum within the scheduled period of 10 months including commissioning and handing over. The work involved hill cutting, ring beam foundation, fabrication (of piping approx. 3.00 Kms., of size varying from 6” to 16”), construction of Tank of 9800 M3 capacity using jacking up system. Painting of tank internal and external, fusion bonded epoxy coating on pipe internal. Monitoring of water level using a Siemens S5 PLC based control system etc.

Sterilisation of tank as per QP/KAHRA MAA procedure was carried out prior to filling of water in the tank and connecting to the Dukhan Township.

Project 15: INSTALLATION OF NEW STAND-BY MAIN LINE OIL PUMP AT KHATIYAH PUMPING STATION – QATAR PETROLEUM

Petroserv Limited was awarded the above project by Qatar Petroleum – Dukhan Maintenance Department. This project includes the installation of skid mounted pump and motor compete with lube oil system, pump house, transformers, transformer shelter, VSDS panels, 415V switch board, MOV’s (20” & 16”), piping works, fire & gas and instrumentation works. Petroserv have carried out HAZOP study, all required analysis, i.e., geotech, stress analysis, dynamic analysis which are required for optimising the design details. A major shutdown was carried out at Khatiyah Pumping station to connect the new piping and instrumentation system to the existing one. Petroserv have completed the project within the time frame including commissioning and performance test without any loss of time incidents.

Project 16: EPIC OF NEW PROPANE & BUTANE BOIL OF COMPRESSOR AT NGL 1&2, MESAIEED – QATAR PETROLEUM

Petroserv was awarded with the above General Tenders Committee contract to install Centrifugal Compressor of capacity 210 tonnes/day. This involves Geotechnical analysis of equipment foundations, installations of Skid mounted compressor package, lube oil console, lube oil cooler, K.O. Drums and approximately 2000” dia of piping (Low temperature carbon steel, cement lined, stainless steel & G.I.). The electrical instrumentation work involved the installation of over 5000m of cabling of power, (H.V. /L.V.) control cable and fibre optic cables. Two major plant shutdowns were required to tie-in the new system (fire and gas, instrument & piping) and to integrate with the new plant. The plant was commissioned and handed over to Qatar Petroleum within a record time of 12 months from the award of contract. The entire work was completed without any loss of time incident.

Project 17: QGPC - MAJOR OVERHAULING OF EXISTING CRUDE OIL TANKS T-5007 & T-5009 AND REPAIR/REPLACE DEFECTIVE PIPE SECTIONS AT HALUL ISLAND (GTC-158/99)

This major contract at Halul involves replacement of shells of 2 nos. 76m dia x 22 m height – floating roof crude oil supply tanks (100,000m3) capacity, supply, installation and testing of rim seals, rim seal fire protection system, foam pipes and associated pipeline works.

Major overhauling of tank internals, floating roof assembly, electrical and instrumentation works as well as civil construction works form the part of the contract. Petroserv was selected to execute this work ahead of major pre-qualified tank fabricators from Qatar and international companies.

Project 18: QGPC – INSTALLATIONS OF E-1308 S AT NGL – 1 PLANT, MESAIEED (LTC 105/99)

This job involves Installation of Heat Exchanger with associated Civil, Structural, Electrical, Instrumentation, Fire Protection System and Piping works.

Project 19: RTC COATING ON 66 KV/132 KV O/H LINE INSULATORS

The contract for applying “SYLGARD’ coating on 66 KV/132KV Insulator Discs and replacement of the existing insulator strings with coated discs was awarded to us by KAHRAMAA.

Coating works on the insulator discs was carried out at our Umm Salal works under the direct supervision of ‘SYLGARD’ representative who gave extensive training to our team of our Painting Inspector / Painters. We have a British Gas Qualified Painting Inspector who ensures quality works in-line with manufacturer’s recommendation.

Work involved removal of insulator strings from the O/H transmission lines across the country, cleaning the discs, application of ‘SYLGARD’ at our Painting Yard and reinstating them on the O/H lines.

The discs to be coated (greased/ungreased) were removed from the O/H transmission lines and brought to our painting yard. They were then thoroughly cleaned using detergent/suitable cleaning agents and wiped free of moisture before the application of SYLGARD. The coated discs were inspected by KAHRAMAA Inspectors for the specified DFT (20 mil) and workmanship before being assembled and packed for transportation to site for replacement.

Project 19: QGPC-SILVERTECH – EPIC FOR REPLACEMENT ASCS & INSTALLATION OF CRUDE OIL METERING SYSTEM FOR SBM-1 & SBM-2 AT HALUL ISLAND (GTC 154/97)

Job involves supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of crude oil metering system for SBM – 1 & SBM – 2 (36” & 30” oil lines). ASCS work involved dismantling of the entire existing control system at Halul and replaced with a microprocessor based control system. The metering skid is of Smith U.S.A. and ASCS is designed and supplied by Silvertech, U.K.

Supply, Fabrication, Erection, Testing and Commissioning of 36” and 30” pipe lines, 16/8” fire water lines, instrument air lines, drain tanks and inter-connection to API pit, installation of tank gauging systems etc. along with modifications to crude oil pumping station forms part of mechanical works.

Civil and structural works involved 38M x 18M raft foundations, shed over metering skid, pipe supports and anchor supports to 36” & 30” lines drain tanks, roads, culverts, trenches etc.

Supply and installation of power distribution panels, control panels, power, control and instrumentation cabling works were also forming the part of the contract.

Project 20: QGPC – GDS SCADA REPLACEMENT PROJECT, GTC 132/97/PRAXIS (USA)

Petroserv is associated with M/s Praxis of USA and approved by QGPC got civil, mechanical, electrical and instrumentation works related to GDS SCADA Replacement Project for total installation in Qatar. Job involves civil construction of generator rooms, all cabling and trenching works, all electrical, instrumentation works etc.

Job sites are spread-over entire Qatar and involve works at 34 gas distribution stations and 13 Cathodic protection stations.

Project 21: SULFINOL STORAGE TANK FOR QATARGAS

QatarGas have awarded an EPIC contract to Petroserv for construction of sulfinol storage tank at Ras Laffan. Work was completed as per schedule and the tank became operational by 30.06.98.

Works involved construction of ring beam foundation for tank, pipe support foundations, pipe cross over, Cathodic protection etc. scaffolding works, grit blasting and painting works were also done by us.

Project 22: SUPPLY, FABRICATION AND INSTALLATION OF ANCILLARY SYSTEMS AND INSTALLATION OF ELECTRIC ARC FURNACE AT QASCO FOR M/S MANNESMANN DEMAG – GERMANY

Contract for installation of electric arc furnace and systems are awarded to us by Mannesmann - Demag. This involves fabrication and erection of technological structures, piping and equipment over 2500 M. tons and individual equipment weighing up to 150 M tons.

Transportation of all components from storage site to erection sites are done by us using heavy cranes of 250 M. ton capacity.

Project 23: EPIC CONTRACT AT JALEHA DEGASSING PLANT – QGPC

Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Commissioning of crude oil tank QJA 29, flare lines of 30 inch and 36 inch dia, installation of two Nos. of booster pumps, piping works and tie-in works in MOL pump at Jaleha Degassing Plant along with all electrical, instrumentation, DCS and ESD modifications. This project has been successfully completed Petroserv. This was a direct GTC contract from QGPC and has been commissioned.

Civil works involved design and construction of Flare Pit, flare mountings, pipe supports and anchor supports for 3 Nos. of flare pipelines of 6 inch, 30 inch and 36 inch sizes.

We have also constructed cable culverts, pipe culverts, access roads, tank foundation, bund walls with concrete linings etc.

All scaffolding works, blasting and painting works were carried out by us.

Supply and installation of booster pumps with foundations, pump house with monorails and lifting arrangements etc. were also in our scope of work.

We would like to highlight our achievement in shutdown related activities of this project as follows:

Scheduled shutdown for flare shifting and tie-in works for main oil line pump and related tanks were to be carried out within 12 days spread over two occasions. We could, in consultation with QGPC, submit an accelerated programme and reduce the total shutdown of degassing station to two days. This is on the records of QGPC.

Project 24: ERECTION OF PORTAL CRANE AT QAPCO WHARF, MESAIEED

The largest portal crane in Qatar with a lifting capacity of 40 m tons at 40 metre reach was installed tested and commissioned by us for M/s Reggiane of Italy. This involved 600 M. tons of equipment erection including single largest piece weighing 130 M. tons and all associated electrical and instrumentation works on a turnkey basis. Unloading equipment from ship, loading from wharf, transportation and erection by heavy lift cranes up to 500 M tons capacity was organised by Petroserv.

Project 25: LUBRICATION OIL PLANT AT MESAIEED – QALCO

The first lubrication oil plant of Qatar set up at Mesaieed by QALCO was constructed by Petroserv. This EPIC contract involved construction of factory buildings, tank farm for base oil storage, special equipment, supply lines from port to tank farm (2 lines of 1 kilometre each), all electrical, instrumentation and commissioning works. This project was completed by us in scheduled time.

Project 26: QATAR STEEL COMPANY/INDUSTRIAL SERVICES INTERNATIONAL (KOBE STEEL – JAPAN) WATER TREATMENT PLANT

The turnkey contract was for installation, testing and commissioning of water treatment plant at QASCO. Job involved piping works, installation of equipment, all

cabling works, installation of transformers, HT and LT panels, testing, commissioning of all equipment, electrical, instruments etc.

Project 27: 32” PIPELINE WORKS AT RAS LAFFAN FOR SAIPEM (ITALY) / QATARGAS

All mechanical and piping works related 1.5 kilometres of 32 inch main gas lines connecting onshore and offshore facilities were carried out by us at Ras Laffan for Saipem (Italy)/Qatargas. Piping wrapping and coating works were also done by us.

Project 28: DESALINATION PLANT AT DUKHAN – QGPC

Petroserv was pre-qualified by QGPC as the sub-contractor of M/s SIDEM of France for carrying out all structural fabrication works, installation of all equipment including four evaporator units, each weighing 68 M. tons, four number of boilers weighing 48 M. tons each, all other equipment, piping works, (carbon steel, stainless steel and GRP) electrical and instrumentation works. The works were involving approximately 65 kilometres of cabling, power and control panels, 900 instruments etc. Total weight of equipment installed by us is over 2500 M. tons. Following commissioning of the desalination plant our specialist technicians were on direct employment of QGPC for a period of six months.

Project 29: MANUFACTURE, SUPPLY AND INSTALLATION OF MANIFOLD AT KHATIYAH NORTH FIELDS – QGPC

Manifold connecting 16 well heads have been manufactured, tested, transported and installed at Khatiyah Fields for QGPC in the year 1992. Job was completed in scheduled time and performance of system is found satisfactory.

All civil foundations, fencing works etc. related to this Manifold were also carried out by us.

Project 30: MEW – RAS ABU ABOUD

Petroserv has successfully completed several contracts for M.E.W. at Ras Abu Aboud Power Station. Supply, fabrication and installation of gas lines upto 18-inch dia and totalling 16 kilometres are done inside the plant. Five Nos. of crude/diesel oil tanks are refurbished tested and commissioned by us. Installation and modifications to EOT cranes, crane gantry and supporting structures etc. were completed by us.

Project 31: OFFSHORE SERVICES TO QGPC AND OTHER MAJOR COMPANIES IN QATAR

Petroserv is involved with manpower supply of skilled personnel, fabrication and delivery of offshore equipment for QGPC, Maersk Oil, Occidental Petroleum, Darwish Engineering, Saipem, Noble Petroleum Company etc. for the last six years.

Project 32: EPIC FOR REPLACEMENT OF SINGLE MECHANICAL SEAL WITH DOUBLE MECHANICAL SEALS FOR HYDROCARBON PROCESS PUMPS IN NGL PLANTS, MESAIEED

NGL-1, 2, & 3 are natural gas recovery plants located in Mesaieed, the southern part of the Qatar Peninsula. Within these plants there is a number of API process pumps located in various process units. It was observed that there were frequent failures of the single mechanical seals of the process pumps within the API hydrocarbon service process. These failures had a serious impact on the safety, plant integrity and environmental requirements of the facilities and as a result were considered an operational hazard concern.

The Client, Qatar Petroleum, adopted a two stage approach to solving their problem. The first was FEED engineering study followed by an EPIC contract based on the FEED result.

Contract Objectives

Based on the FEED recommendations, this EPIC contract was for the following:

• Replacing of the existing Single Mechanical Seals for 54 processing pumps with Double Seals as per the latest state of the art and API682 latest edition requirements,

• Improving the efficiency of 22 existing API pumps already fitted with double seals to improve their operation and maintenance performance,

• Replacement of 4 existing MDEA service submerged pumps located in NGL-3 SRU Plant with new ones, ensuring that they comply with API682 with zero process emissions.

Project 33: WATER AND DRAINAGE RELATED INFRASTRUCTURE SERVICES FOR CENTRAL TRAINING CAMP DEVELOPMENT AT SAILIYAH

This contract for the Qatar Armed Forces was executed within their Central Training Camp, Sailiyah, just north of the city of Doha. The scope of works which was essentially for the construction of new water and drainage infrastructure within the camp facility included the following:

• The construction of 3500m of new gravity sewerage network within the camp but discharging off site,

• Demolition of the existing pumping station and abandonment of the rising main, including the removal of all the mechanical equipment,

• Construction of a new 1500m potable water feed network incorporating a new central level reservoir (25mx20mx6m) and pumping station,

• A new 100m irrigation network, incorporating a new central level reservoir (20mx10mx6m).

• A new 100m feed pipeline from the existing KAHRAMAA (Governmental authority) water main,

• Install a new 1200m fire fighting network and fire fighting system.

• Construct a new 2000m surface water drainage network system including the construction of soakaways and surface water storage areas with sufficient capacity for a 5 year ARI rainfall event.

Project 34: KAHRAMAA – AIR CONDITION MAINTENANCE

This contract requires Petroserv to maintain/ modify/ replace air-conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation services and or equipment on all Kahramaa building within the State of Qatar for a period of 3 years. All the facilities in question are divided into zones according to their location and maintenance requirements and Petroserv is responsible for managing these facilities according to the contract requirements.

Project 35: SURFACE WATER SCHEMES ABU HAMOUR AREA DRAINAGE - CP 566

The project comprised the construction of approximately 30km of perforated vitrified clay land drains, surface water trunk sewers and ancillary works in the Abu Hamour area of Doha Qatar. The pipe sizes varied from 250 - 1200mm diameter and the

depths of trench excavation ranged between 4,5m and 11m deep. It was also necessary to construct a total of 570 manholes of assorted diameters.

Project 36: CULTURAL VILLAGE PROJECT – MARINE & BEACH WORKS, INCLUDING THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SEWER RISING MAIN PUMPING STATION

Petroserv was required to construct 1,5km of beach in front of the Cultural Village which included the re-profiling of the beach to a slope of 1:20 for a distance of 150m above and below the high tide mark. Additionally it was necessary to construct rock armoring protection to an exposed section of the existing northern culvert outfall and installing a rock revertment at the toe of the culvert.

The project also comprised the construction of a sewerage pumping station and sewerage rising main of 200mm diameter. The rising main was installed at a depth of 18m below natural ground level and 14m below sea level.

Project 37: CONSTRUCTION OF TREATED SEWAGE EFFLUENT MAIN TO AL RAKHIYA FARM – DRC 0120

This project comprised the construction of approximately 3km of 600mm diameter Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) supply line to the proposed agricultural farm at Rakhiya, including the connection of this line into the two existing 800mm TSE supply lines from Salwa. The 600mm line included the construction of a total of 9 reinforced concrete gate valve, washout, wash out and meter chambers.

Project 38: CIVIL WORKS FOR CABLE CULVERTS AND OIL CELLAR IN QASCO

This was a specialised job to be done under severe conditions where only three selected civil contractors were pre-qualified. Petroserv has successfully carried out major civil works for repair and Renovation of Cable Culverts in QASCO of the sizes up to 5 mtr wide x 3 mtr height and one kilometre long as well as the Oil Cellar. Enclosed photographs illustrate the type of work done by us. More than one hundred civil personnel and special equipment were mobilised by us for this job.

Project 39: UNDERGROUND TUNNEL RENOVATION FOR QATAR UNIVERSITY

Petroserv has successfully completed renovation works of underground tunnels in Qatar University. The tunnel is of a length of approx. 1.5 kms.

Project 40: MAJOR CIVIL WORKS AND LANDSCAPING WORKS FOR QAPCO

Petroserv for the last five years has done major civil works for QAPCO. A few works to be listed out are:

i. Installation of wharf rails for 1600 mtrs with foundations involving 500 cubic mtrs of micro silica concrete with protection.

ii. Construction of tank bund wall for 3 Nos. of ethylene spheres.

iii. Pipe supports and foundations for pumps.

iv. Concrete pavings and roads in excess of 3000 sq. mtrs.

v. Asphalted roads within the ethylene plant area

vi. Renovation of maintenance building.

vii. Extension of fire service buildings.

viii. Construction of 200 Nos. of car parkings.

ix. Construction of caustic soda tank farm flooring and repair of tank foundations.

GENERAL CIVIL WORKS

We have also carried out major civil works for QAFCO, NODCO, Qatar Jet Fuel Company (Airport tank farm), Qatar Public Telecommunications Corporation (Q-Tel), Residences of Heir Apparent and for several other private and government agencies.

Q-TEL WORKS

We are an approved civil contractor of Q-Tel and have done several jobs involving civil works related to Q-Tel communication cabling works. This includes duct banks, trench works, installation of junction boxes, minor and major road crossings and special application cabling works.
