Incorporating movement into a lesson plan will help them move and learn at the same time. ObjectivesStudents will listen to directions about what the song is about and the movement that goes with it.Children will incorporate music with movement together. Students will be able to listen, remember, reflect on the song and the meaning of it. Activities/ProceduresTeach the song: Run through it and explain to them that this is a song of repetition. Give an example of a part of the song (Chorus), so they get a feel for what you’re wanting them to do. Have the children listen to the different emotions the narrator goes through in the song/story.Start singing the song with the children. Incorperate the movements as well.After the song: (K-1st grade) Bring them outside to explore wild animal tracks. Take them outside to do this activity. When outside, have them look for different tracks of animals or signs that animals live on that particular part of land.
