2019 State FFA Land Judging InformationThe 2019 State Land Judging Contest will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, in conjunction with 2019 Farm Technology Days in Jefferson County, hosted by Travis Smith Farms and Watertown FFA. Watertown FFA will serve as the host chapter for the soils contest.General contest information:The contest is open to any FFA team from Wisconsin.The Contest will have two Divisions: Senior and Junior.Each Chapter can have one team entered in the Senior Division and be eligible to compete for a chance to advance to the National level.The Junior Division is open to any member.Members are eligible to compete at the State level four times only. Each Chapter can enter several Junior level teams with one designated for team awards.Individual contestant awards are open to all individuals in that division.No graduates or members who have participated in the National Land Contest are eligible to compete.Official scoring will be done as outlined in the handbook, “Soil Study and Land Evaluation in Wisconsin” found at is $25.00 per Senior FFA team and $15.00 per Junior FFA team.Late entries after July 15th will result in a late fee of $50.00 being assessed.Make check payable to: WAAE-SoilsMail Registration and Payment to:Jen BradleyWisconsin FFA CDE CoordinatorW1352 Hemaurer Dr.New Holstein, WI 53061-9765Registration will start at 8:00 a.m. at Watertown High School in the Commons, 825 Endeavor Drive, Watertown WI, 53098. Students will be guided to contest locations at 9:00 a.m. After the contest, it will be up to the students and advisors to make their way to the commons at Watertown High School where we will announce the place finishers and winners.
