HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE ON BEHALF OF ALL THE STAFF AT ABBEY PRIMARY.

Kitchen and Dining Hall Refurbishment

We are very excited to announce that our building works are complete! We now have the school kitchen as an integral part of our dining hall, which has also been extended. The children enjoy going up to the serving area and choosing their food, served by the catering staff. They then move onto the salad bar to help themselves to a range of salad, pasta and bread. This is really popular. The children particularly enjoy serving themselves here.

The dining hall is bright, airy and is very spacious. We will be holding an event, to which you will be invited, so that you can come in and see the room.

We will be looking to hire the space out. It will be a great venue for parties as there is also access to our field. We are currently looking at prices for hire.

Best Attendance

Congratulations to the children in Nightingale Class (Year 2) for having the best attendance last half term. They came to school in their own clothes on Friday 11 January 2019.

Great Baby News!

Mrs Pettinger gave birth to a baby boy on 7 January 2019. He was a healthy 8lb 9 oz. Matthew is very proud of his baby brother, Joshua Dale Thomas Pettinger. We met the little bundle of joy this week!

Great Behaviour Raffle Winners

Congratulations to the following children who won the raffle for being beautifully behaved: Julia Grzegorczyk (Malala), Laura Radziszewska (Frank), Emily Gibb (Picasso) and Lilyan Smail (Rosen). The children were thrilled to have won vouchers for a trip to the cinema.
