Produced at Jianyang, Fukien Province. Black-glazed tea bowls with streaks. Produced throughout the Song; “hare’s fur” (J. nokime) markings

Zhizhou Wares (Chi-chou)

Produced at Zhizhou, Kiangsi Province. Black-glazed tea bowls with elaborate glaze markings including “iridescent” (J. yōhen) “partridge feathers,” “hare’s fur” (J. nokime), “tortoise shell” (J. daihi) and “iron spots” (J. yūteki) as well as natural leaf markings. Southern Song-Yuan.
