Although he had a year left on his original contract that would have paid him $275,000 this season… Abraham gets a $ 2.5-million signing bonus and a $ 1.5-million roster bonus this season. At least $ 6-million is guaranteed over the next three years, agent Jack Reale said.Doug Fernandes, Sarasota Herald Tribune: The team signed its top cornerback to a five-year, $17.5 million contract extension that will keep him with the Bucs through the 2002 season. Abraham, taken out of East Tennessee State in the third round of the 1996 draft, earned $322,000 last season. He was set to enter the final year of his original three-year deal…Including an undisclosed signing bonus, $9 million of the contract is guaranteed. Even if Abraham were to sustain a career-ending injury today, he would still get $6 million.Len Pasquarelli, ESPN: Abraham, 28, had a cap value of $5.1 million for 2002. The Bucs will save $4.1 million of that, his $3.6 million base salary and the $500,000 roster bonus, but must carry a $1 million charge for the remaining prorated share of a past signing bonus.Blue Adams2003 PS after week 1, .07395 BS2003 Signed by JAC after week 52005 .305/.425 BSGaines Adams2007 5/19.685 TRV, 6/45.325 TRMV, .285/.37/.9/1.08/1.1 BS2007 2.1 RB2007 .175 NLTBE (RotY)2007-2012 1.05 NLTBE2008 13.049 SB/5, 1.15 BS added for 20122008 .001 OB/52009 Traded to CHI after week 5 (for 2010 2nd)2012 voidable, 3-10 buyback.8 PTIDEION: +.32625 in 2008-2011, -1.305 in 2012Chidi Ahanotu1993 3/.45675 TRV, .104/.13/.156 BS1993 .048 SB/31993 .005 RB1994 .00625 RB1994 CBA increase BS to .135/.1781995 .0075 RB 1996 3/3.75 TRV, 1.1/.95/.851996 .5 SB/31996 .35 RepB1999 6/30 TRV, .5/2.25/4.25/4/4.5/5 BS1999 6.5 SB/62001 CUT Pre2002 3 RB2004 No SB/1 after week 9, .76 BS (.455 MSB)Nick Pugliese, Tampa Tribune: Sign: $48,000. 1993: $104,000 ($5,000 roster). 1994: $130,000 ($6,300 roster). 1995: $156,000 ($7,500 roster). I’ve done a little more checking around and Barber’s contract is very simple, compared to a lot of other NFL deals. It’s worth a straight $4 million. There are no incentives or bonuses involved and Barber will count $4 million against the salary cap, assuming there is a labor agreement and a salary cap.In 2008, 2009 and 2010, Barber had a $3 million base salary for each season. But he collected $700,000 in incentives in 2008 and $1.3 million in incentives in 2009. In 2010, Barber made an extra $1.35 million in incentives.Pat Yasinskas, ESPN: Barber is scheduled to earn $3 million in base salary. He didn’t get any signing bonus and there are no other frills in the contract. He’ll count $3 million against this year’s salary cap.Brian McIntyre, : Barber signed another one-year, $3 million contract in March. (An additional $1 million is available in incentives).Pat Yasinskas, ESPN: Barber is a Pro Bowl alternate, but the fact he wasn’t selected was costly. There is a $9.6 million option bonus in 2005, but if it's not paid, Gold becomes a free agent again and the Bucs would be liable for just a $1.2 million salary-cap hit. The contract also voids if Gold is in the Pro Bowl this season. Of the contract's total value of $38.25 million, in addition to the option bonus, $19.25 million is base salaries from 2007-2010 and $5 million is in $1 million roster bonuses to be paid from 2006-2010.Mike Florio, PFT: Gold's signing bonus is $1.4 million and his salary for 2004 is $600,000. If Gold participates in 35 percent of the team's defensive plays in 2004, his salary shoots to $3.5 million in 2005. Otherwise, it'll be only $650,000 in '05. Regarding the $9.6 million option bonus, Tampa must pay the money by day 3 of the 2005 NFL year. If the payment is made, the contract converts from a six-year deal to a seven-year deal. If the Bucs opt not to exercise the option, they can keep Gold's rights for 2005 -- either at a salary of $650,000 or $3.5 million, based on whether he meets the 35 percent threshold for defensive plays. And if they don't pick up the $9.6 million option bonus in 2005, the Bucs must decide in 2006 whether to pay a $12 million option bonus in order to keep Gold's rights through 2010.Dashon Goldson2013 5/41.25 TRV, 4.5/6/7.5/7.5/6.75 BS2013 4.5 RB2013-2014 BS guaranteed2013 suspended 1 game (week 12, safety)2014 3 RB2015 4 BS guaranteed2015-2017 .5 WO (not paid)2015 3/23.25 TRV, 1.6/7.5/6.75 BS2015 4 RB OATSB/32015 Traded to WAS Pre (w/2016 7th for 2016 6th)2015 .1 WO2015 2.3 RB (8/1)2016-2017 .5 WOTom Silverstein, Milwaukee Journal Sentinel: Here's Goldson's year-by-year take: 2013: $4.5 million base (fully guaranteed) plus $4.5 million roster bonus… 2014: $6 million base (fully guaranteed) plus $3 million roster bonus (fully guaranteed)… 2015: $7.5 million base (guaranteed for injury) plus $500,000 workout bonus… 2016: $7.5 million base plus $500,000 workout bonus… 2017: $6.75 million base plus $500,000 workout bonus.Joel Corry, NFP: Dashon Goldson's adjusted 2015 salary: fully GTD $4M 4/2 roster bonus, $1.6M base salary, $2.3M 8/1 roster bonus & $100k workout bonus… Goldson's $4M 4/2 roster bonus treated as signing bonus under the salary cap since it's fully GTD. $4M cap charge for Bucs w/trade.Rick Stroud, Tampa Bay Times: Tampa Bay traded Goldson and their seventh-round pick in 2016 to Washington for the Redskins' sixth-round choice next year.Jeff Gooch1996 2/.301 TRV, .131/.164 BS1996 .006 SB/21998 1/.238 TRV, .238 BS1999 4/4 TRV, .4/.75/.95/1.3 BS1999 .6 SB/42001 2/2.502 TRV, .477/1.25 BS2001 .025 RepB2002 CUT Pre2002 .75 RB (not paid)2004 6/11.125 TRV, 11.725 TRMV, .66/.665/2/2.25/2.5/2.75 BS2004 .3 SB/62004-2009 .1 NLTBE (PT)2006 CUT PreNajee Goode2012 4/2.3069 TRV, .39/.48/.57/.66 BS2012 .2069 SB/4Pat Yasinskas, ESPN: Goode, a fifth-round choice, got a four-year deal worth $2.307 million, including a $206,900 signing bonus.Danny Gorrer2012 Acquired from SEA after week 8 (waivers)2012 .54/.63 BS2014 1/.755 TRV, .73 BS (.57 MSB)2014 CUT Post2014 .025 RB (not paid?)Jeremy Grable2014 3/1.53 TRV, .42/.51/.6 BS2014 IR, .303 BS2014 CUT Post, .142588 injury settlement?Bruce Gradkowski2006 4/1.6975 TRV, 2.248694 TRVM, .275/.36/.445/.53 BS2006 .0875 SB/42006 .025 NLTBE (RotY)2006-2009 .042 NLTBE (Pro Bowl, SB MVP)2008 CUT Pre (claimed by STL)2009 .358194 esc possibleEarnest Graham2006 .425 BS2006 2/1.265 TRV ext, .51/.605 BS2006 BS raised to .74375 after week 9, equiv .5752008 4/11.05 TRV, 1.5/2/2/2 BS2008 1 RepB2008 IR after week 112009 .5 RB2009 IR after week 162010 1 RB2011 1.05 RBPFT: Graham’s salary for 2008 increases from $605,000 to $1.5 million, and he’ll earn a $1 million roster bonus if he’s on the opening-day roster in September.Martin Gramatica1999 3/1.15 TRV, .175/.25/.325 BS1999 .4 SB/32000 CBA increase BS to .275/.3892001 7/13 TRV ext, .45/1.7/.7/1.15/1.65/2.15/2.6 BS2001 1.5 SB/8/62002 1.1 OB CONV/7 (moved up from 2003)2002 1.17 SB/7 CONV (from 2003 BS)2004 CUT Post week 12, .205882 termination payKatherine Smith, Tampa Tribune: To prevent kicker Martin Gramatica from becoming a restricted free agent, the Bucs re-signed him earlier this month to a two-year, $2.1 million deal with a five-year option but did not release the transaction. Through 2015, Penn is scheduled to earn $35.5 million in base salaries, and that’s just at this moment. There are escalators that could kick in for 2014 and ’15. There also is another $3 million in likely-to-be earned incentives. By the way, Penn stayed away from the club for this offseason as he fought for his new deal. He’s got reason to be involved in the offseason program for the rest of this contract. The deal includes a $400,000 bonus for each year if he shows up for a certain amount of offseason workouts.Mike Florio, PFT: the maximum value of the contract is $47.2 million. Sure, we're only talking about $800,000 of upward fluff, but who wouldn't gladly accept a check for $800,000? The significance of the 800 large in funny money is that it moves the average of the package to $8 million per year, allowing Penn's agent to tell his family, friends, and (most importantly) prospective clients that he got Penn a deal worth $8 million per year. Also, $5.5 million of the $47.2 million is tied up in "not likely to be earned incentives" payable in the final year of the deal. We'll assume for now that it's a phantom incentive, aimed at getting the average closer to $8 million than what it would be without the "not likely to be earned incentives" -- less than $7 million per year. The base value of the contract is $36.7 million, and it comes from the following payments: a $2 million signing bonus, a $4.5 million base salary in 2010, a $7.2 million base salary in 2011, a $5.1 million base salary in 2012, a $5.0 million base salary in 2013, a $6.4 million base salary in 2014, and a $6.5 million base salary in 2015. From 2011 through 2015, Penn also is eligible for $400,000 annually in workout bonuses, and $600,000 per year in weight-clause incentives. If he complies, the base value increases to $41.7 million.… The $4.5 million base salary in 2010 is truly guaranteed, both for injury and skill. The $7.2 million base salary in 2011 and the $5.1 million base salary in 2012 are guaranteed for injury only -- and thus not truly guaranteed.Pat Yasinskas, ESPN: He didn’t lose anything by not making the Pro Bowl this year. But the rest of the years on Penn’s contract, which runs through 2015, have Pro Bowl bonuses that can earn him up to a total of $5.5 million… The Bucs list Penn at 305 and his deal includes a $600,000 bonus each year if he keeps his weight under a certain level.Greg Peterson2007 4/1.857 TRV, .285/.37/.46/.55 BS2007 .192 SB/42009 CUT PostLuke Petitgout2007 3/15.5 TRV, 2/2.5/3.5 BS2007 3 SB/32007 .4 RB2007 .040625 RB/game active (equiv .65)2007 IR after week 42008 CUT Post2008-2009 1.75 RBJermaine Phillips2002 3/1.013 TRV, .225/.3/.38 BS2002 .108 SB/32004 4/8.604997 TRV ext, .455/1.35/1.75/2.05 BS2004 BS raised to 1.135549 after week 8, equiv .7799972004 1 SB/52004 .25 RB2005 1.35 OB/42007-2008 .25 NLTBE2008 IR after week 152009 1/2.5 TRV, 1.25 BS2009 .75 SB/12009 .03125 RB/game active (equiv .5, missed 14 games)2009 IR after week 2Justin Phinisee2006 .275/.36/.445/.53 BS2006 .04446 SB/4?2006 CUT PostZack Pianalto2011 Acquired from UF (waivers)2011 .375/.465/.555 BSCleveland Pinkney2003 1/.225 TRV, .225 BS2003 CUT Post week 102003 PS, .07395 BS2003 Activated after week 14, .225/.305 BS2004 CUT Post (claimed by ATL)Sabby Piscatelli2007 4/2.77 TRV, 2.995 TRMV, .285/.37/.46/.55 BS2007 .8 SB/42007 .075 NLTBE (RotY)2007-2010 .0375 NLTBE (Pro Bowl & 55% PT)2007 IR after week 32009 .305 LTBE one-time RB (PTI)2010 CUT Post week 12 (claimed by CLE)Michael Pittman2002 5/8.75 TRV, .525/.8/1.5/1.75/2 BS2002 1.75 SB/52003 .425 RB2003 .5 esc possible2004 .75 esc possible2005 1 esc possible2006 1.25 esc possible2004 3/3.9275 TRV, .7935/1.642/1.492 BS2004 .308 LTBE2004 .905 NLTBE2005 1.116 NLTBE2006 .516 NLTBE2005 BS reduced to 12005 .65 NLTBE2006 VOID2006 4/4.21 TRV, .67/.87/1.07/1.27 BS2006 .33 SB/42006 CBA increase BS to .712007 BS escalated to 12007 .2 NLTBE2008 VOID 2008-2009Len Pasquarelli/John Clayton, ESPN: The Tampa Bay Buccaneers quickly found a replacement for Warrick Dunn, agreeing with Michael Pittman on Monday to five-year, $8.75 million contract.
