TWHS Student Council "Parents' Night Out"

Date: Friday, 4/19/19 Time: 5:00-8:00pm

Location: Tri-West High School Cost: $5 per student or $10 per family Activities include: games and relay races (K-2 and 3-5 groups), movie, crafts, food, and Wii/Just Dance A flyer will be sent home with your student very soon!

Pittsboro PTA Spring Flower & Plant Fundraiser

Thank you for supporting the PTA Spring Fundraiser!

Order forms and payments are due Friday, March

22nd. Plant pick up will be announced at a later date

(we are anticipating it will be at the end of April or beginning of

May). Please make sure the student's name and phone number are

on the packet before he/she turns it in. All checks may be made

payable to Pittsboro PTA. Please contact Lacey McMillan with any

questions: Laceymcmillan08@.

From the Superintendent (email to parents dated Friday, March 15th): NWHSC will not

extend the school year to make up for the January 31st school cancellation. Based on its 2017-18 achievement results, NWHSC was named a Performance Qualified School District for the 2018-19 school year. This distinction allows flexibility to NWHSC regarding the number of student instructional days that is required. As long as NWHSC has more than the required instructional minutes, it is allowed to have students attend school for less than 180 instructional days. The school board approved the administrative recommendation to implement the flexibility earned by the Performance Qualified School District distinction and to not make up the January 31st school cancellation day. Therefore, for the 2018-19 school year, NWHSC students will attend school for a total of 179 instructional days with the final student day remaining as May 22nd.
