Dear Students, Parents, Coaches, and Sponsors:

Participation in athletic and extra-curricular activities is an important learning opportunity provided by Stafford County Public Schools. Participation in athletic and extra-curricular activities provides opportunity for students to apply what they have learned in a context beyond the classroom, particularly in the areas of communication, collaboration, and leadership.

We are proud to have students represent our schools and division in a manner that is highly visible and extends well beyond the classroom. As such, our expectations for excellence are high. In choosing to participate in athletic and extra-curricular activities, students are accepting additional responsibility to do the right thing for themselves, as well as their peers, teams, school community, and beyond. We expect students to exercise good judgment and conduct themselves with honesty, integrity, and respect for others at all times.

Please keep in mind that participation in athletic and extra-curricular activities is not a right. Failure to meet expectations outlined in this document, as well as in School Board Policy and the Student Code of Conduct, will result in disciplinary action.
