Treasurer Job Description

The treasurer of FANNP will have charge and full knowledge of all funds and securities of the Association.

Specifically the treasurer will do the following:

1. Duties and Responsibilities

A. Maintain an accurate record of the inflow and outflow of money. This is done using Quicken.

B. Maintain a record of all receipts related to general business and yearly conference.

C. Maintain Bank of America account

D. Maintain Paypal account

E. Maintain a database of all checks collected for membership, conference fees and exhibitors.

F. Keep membership chair updated on all monies collected either by check or Paypal for membership dues.

G. Pay all bills related to the daily operations of the organization.

H. File yearly corporate fee with the state of Florida before May 1.

I. Prepare and send out 1099 tax forms prior to Jan 31 each year

J. Prepare and file 1096 and 1099 forms with the IRS by deadline

K. Prepare (have an accountant prepare) and file yearly 990 tax forms by deadline

L. Prepare W-9 forms and distribute to vendors as needed.

M. Prepare a financial statement & short report of the Financial Committee for the Annual Business Meeting in October

N. Prepare a final end of the year financial statement for the January board meeting

O. Prepare a yearly conference report with details of the money flow.

P. Provide a proposed conference budget for each year.

Q. Serve as chairperson of the Financial Committee.

R. Serve as a member of the Conference Planning Committee.

S. Provide financial guidance to the board as needed

T. Serve as chairperson to the office of Treasurer

U. Preform all other duties as may be assigned by the Board of Directors

2. Qualifications

A. Must have served on the Board of Directors or has served as a Member on one of FANNP’s committees. A member shall not hold more than office at any given time.

B. There are no term limits on the office of Treasurer.

3. Reimbursement

A. Annual conference complimentary registration

B. 3 complimentary conference nights at the hotel

C. Eligible for driving travel costs to BOD meetings
