3105150-49911000Job DescriptionCompliance and Safety ManagerDepartment: Property and Maintenance Services (PaMS)Responsible to: Director of Assets & Decarbonisation Responsible for: Compliance Officer & Assets Co-ordinatorHours of work: 35 hours per weekJob purpose To lead and manage the compliance and health and safety team; systems; processes and reporting for Property & Maintenance Services and the Development Team to ensure Cadwyn provides good quality homes. Working alongside two other senior managers, supporting the PaMS team and ensuring work is carried out in a timely manner to the required quality. Ensuring that Cadwyn’ complies with all necessary H & S legislation and compliance regulations in relation to their obligations as a Landlord and Employer. Key Responsibilities:Leading on all Landlord compliance rated related areas such as Gas, Fire & electrical Safety, Asbestos, Legionella, lifting and work equipment safety. Leading on all other compliance related areas including construction and employee health and Safety.Appraising contractors as appropriate to ensure they can deliver quality and safe services. Providing advice, guidance, rigorous monitoring and record keeping ensuring that both staff and tenants are safe.Preparing works programs and budget costs work compliance related works.Procuring works and service contracts for compliance related works.Ensuring the compliance teams develop and meet performance targets, managing, monitoring, and developing the teamLiaising with tenants, contractors, and staff to ensure compliance and H&S is implemented effectively, adhering to relevant legislationLeading on the Health and Safety policy across PaMs and Development and ensuring an up-to-date compliance strategyMaintaining knowledge of legislative changes and identifying any potential issues or future changes, to remain compliantEnsuring effective data management and systems which are used to make the storing of documentation and data in relation to compliance accurate, easier, and more accessible.Undertaking audits and inspections of compliance, H&S activities, and contractor performance as appropriate. Monitor and review work related risk assessmentsReporting to Executive and Board on compliance and safety issues when requiredEscalating significant compliance and H&S concerns as appropriate to Executive team. Ensuring data is up to date, analysed and regular performance and financial updates are provided with any recommended remedial actions.Delivering, information, instruction, and training across PaMS and wider association, where necessary.Note – no job description can cover every issue which may arise within the post at various times and the post holder is expected to carry out other duties from time to time which are broadly consistent with those in this document. ................
