JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE:Partnerships OfficerJOB LOCATION:Head Office, BirminghamRESPONSIBLE TO:Partnerships ManagerACCOUNTABLE TO:Chief Operating OfficerJOB SUMMARY:To work as part of the BDA Commercial team in order to assist the management of the BDA’s corporate partnerships, the securing of sponsorship & partnership income and the delivery of the BDA Work Ready programme. JOB CONTEXT:The British Dietetic Association, founded in 1936, is the professional Association for registered dietitians in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. It is the largest organisation of food and nutrition professionals, with almost 10,000 members, including around 900 student members.The post reflects the importance, to the BDA, of partnership working and the continued development of the BDA Work Ready programme. The post holder will support the BDA Partnerships Manager, to manage a portfolio of strategic partners. In so doing the post holder will strengthen the BDA’s links with the commercial sector whilst ensuring the needs and expectations of the BDA membership are met. The post holder will also be responsible for assisting the operational delivery and growth of the BDA Work Ready programme. All staff uphold the values of the Association (Professional, Dynamic, Innovative) and represent the profession and the Association to stakeholders. MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Be responsible for the day to day account management of a portfolio of corporate member accounts to ensure mutually beneficial relationshipsBe responsible for the delivery of allocated projects Support and maintain relationships with existing corporate members and ensure aims are met Update and maintain pitch documents, proposals and contracts Ensure quality delivery of agreed elements of the partnerships, such as focus groups, and consultancy. Deal with email and telephone enquiries from potential customers, sponsors and partner municate within the BDA office, with BDA members, customers, branches and groups, partners and relevant stakeholders so as to achieve objectives and maintain efficient team working and delivery of services and projects Take part in Commercial team meetings and contribute to team objectivesSecure sponsorship for a range of BDA events Support the Partnerships Manager with the communication and delivery of the range of partnership initiatives to BDA members and other stakeholders Maintain the relevant areas of BDA websites including the production and commissioning of content for these sitesLead the planning and delivery of a marketing plan for BDA Work Ready - to include print, digital and social media Promote BDA Work Ready and other relevant BDA business opportunities at relevant conferences and exhibitions and online activity Build a database of leads and contacts generated through exhibitions and marketing to companies and ensure these are followed up to generate sales to agreed targetsUndertake copywriting for press coverage and development of contacts in the HR/wellbeing and other relevant trade press alongside the BDA Communications OfficerMonitor the follow up of leads and allocation of work to BDA Work Ready Dietitians, ensuring commission is invoiced and received.Support the accreditation of Work Ready dietitiansManage the database of Work Ready dietitiansProduce regular reports of activities and reach for a variety of audiences including the BDA Work Ready steering group and BDA CouncilProduce regular newsletters for customers, new prospects and accredited Work Ready dietitiansAssist the BDA Work Ready Lead by setting up and attend Work Ready Steering group meetingsSupport the promotion and packaging of new BDA partnership services especially the BDA Work Ready programmeTo be an effective member of the Commercial team, driving and contributing to policy developments as they ariseTo undertake any other duties as may from time to time be requiredTo comply with all relevant BDA policies and proceduresRESOURCES:Financial:Meeting financial targets and monitoring budgetsPeople:Maintain excellent working relationships with other staff, members, external contacts.
