The Chief of IWK Diagnostic Imaging will be responsible to the IWK CEO through the Vice President Medicine, Quality & Safety for all medical and scientific administration and functioning of the IWK department, and will work in partnership with the Operations Director to ensure the effective provision of diagnostic imaging services for our population. In addition, the Chief will be responsible to the Head of the Dalhousie Department of Radiology for all academic activities of the department and its members.

This role requires dynamic leadership and vision in clinical and academic domains, together with management skills to affect excellence in care, education, and research within available resources, and to align strategically and operationally within an integrated health system. The incumbent must negotiate, nurture, and leverage opportunities to maximize productivity through collaboration, partnership, and integration of academic and clinical practice. The successful candidate must be eligible for a full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
