Western Carolina University. Program in Emergency and Disaster Management, Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice is seeking applications for a 9 month faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning August 1, 2010.

Responsibilities include teaching, primarily online, and departmental service. Evidence of a scholarly agenda is highly desirable. This is a renewable fixed-term position.   | |

|Prefer a Ph.D. in Emergency and Disaster Management or in a closely related field with demonstrated concentration in the |

|EDM area. All degrees must be from an accredited institution. |

|The department houses two majors and is one of the largest degree on the campus. It is a progressive department with a |

|theoretically oriented criminal justice and a growing Emergency and Disaster Management program. Western Carolina |

|University enrolls over 9,ooo students and is located in a beautiful mountain setting only minutes from Cherokee, NC and |

|the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. |
