Assistant/Associate Professors in Accounting, Finance and Marketing

(Three Tenure-track Positions)

Located on the Pacific Rim, and in the midst of major international business operations the School of Business at the University of Northern British Columbia wishes to build on its International Business credentials and support growing trade with Asia. The School invites applications for three tenured or tenure-track positions in the areas of Accounting, Finance and Marketing with a preferred focus on International Business. The anticipated start date is July 1, 2014.

The School of Business is the largest academic program in the University with over 500 students. It offers three degrees: A Bachelor of Commerce with majors in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, International Business, Marketing and General Business; A Masters of Science in Business Administration, and; a Masters of Business program. The University of Northern British Columbia is a small, research intensive university with an enrolment of over 3,000 students in more than 40 undergraduate and graduate programs. A successful candidate will possess a PhD. in Accounting, Finance or Marketing or a closely related field. Preference will be given to applicants based on their potential for and/or record of, excellence in teaching and international research. Candidates at the Associate rank should clearly demonstrate a strong record of high-quality performance in research, teaching and service. Successful candidates will be expected to develop a productive international research program and to take a leadership role in the development of the International Business major. A demonstrated ability to collaborate with other faculty is an important characteristic. Details of the research interests of current faculty can be found at: .
