Scholarship requirements:
1. Preference is a Johnson County resident, but all Kansas residents are eligible.
2. Must be at least a second year student of horticulture at Kansas State University
3. Letters of recommendation from:
A. K-State Horticulture faculty member
B. Personal reference from non-family member
4. A copy of transcripts, including any Community College credits
5. Submission of completed application
6. Recipient will be selected by application and personal interview (if requested).
7. A check for $1,500 will be made payable to the student to apply toward tuition, fees and books. Funds will be awarded in August upon receipt of proof of enrollment for fall semester and class grade report from the prior semester. A second check for an additional $1,500 will be awarded the following January, upon receipt of proof of enrollment for the spring semester and class grade report from the prior semester. Recipient may be required to meet with Extension Master Gardener Advisory Board.
