At the hour of 10:00 a.m., the Board of Commissioners of McCone County, Montana, met in regular session with Janet Wolff, Connie Eissinger and James Moos present. Presiding Officer Janet Wolff called the meeting to order. The pledge of allegiance was recited. The agenda was approved.

The August 15, 2011 minutes were read and approved as corrected.

Dave Allan met to discuss a bridge that was washed out on Nickwall Creek in 1987. It was replaced and now is in need of new decking. It was originally built by the county due to an agreement to move the road to avoid putting six bridges in when the road was originally built. The Board will check into the history of the bridge and whether the road department can repair

the bridge.

Maridel Kassner, Clerk and Recorder, and Scott Heide, Week Coordinator, joined the Board to review the Weed Budget for FY 2012.

Scott Heide and the Board of Commissioners went into closed session.

The Board reconvened at 11:30 a.m.

The Board discussed the TransCanada Pipeline open houses they attended in Glendive

on August 16th and Glasgow on August 17th.

Commissioner Wolff reported on the Action for Eastern Montana annual meeting she attended on August 17th.

Commissioner Eissinger reported on the Great Northern Development Corporation Executive Board meeting she attended on August 16th.

The meeting was opened to public participation at 1:00 p.m.

John Grimm, Chris Pulaski and Emily Cooper from DNRC met to have two certificate of surveys and declarations of agricultural covenants be reviewed and approved involving a land exchange between DNRC and the Prairie Elk Colony. Commissioner Eissinger moved to approve and sign the documents and Commissioner Moos seconded. The motion passed 3-0.

The Board reviewed the Grant Agreement, transmittal letters and the A-133 Single Audit

Certification for the FAA Grant for the wildlife fence at the airport. Commissioner Moos moved to approve the documents and Commissioner Eissinger seconded. The motion passed

The Board met with Fire Chief Jess Beery, Brian Johnson from Collaboration Design,

Jerral Sukut from JGA Architects, Mike Glassing from CTA and Chad Sutter from Stevenson

Design. The John Vejtasa Building was toured and the proposed addition discussed. Sheriff

Dave Harris joined the group and discussed the needs of law enforcement if the jail is removed.

Sue Good Brown, Public Health Nurse, and Maridel Kassner, Clerk and Recorder, met to

review the Public Health Department budget for FY 2012.

The Board approved encroachment permits for TransCanada Pipeline.

The meeting adjourned at 6:20 p.m.
