Sivcoski was born July 18, 1923 in Anderson, Texas and moved to Houston, Texas in December 1926. Sivcoski joined the Navy in May 23, 1945 and attended basic training at the San Diego Naval Station. After boot camp and fireman’s school he went about the USS Tripoli CVE in San Diego. ................
