Recycling Collection Schedule Recyclables are collected every other week On your regular trash collection day Place at curb separate from trash by 7:00am All A WEEKS (see street list) are collected during weeks WHITE on the calendar below and all B WEEKS (see street list) are collected during weeks highlighted in GREY

Holiday Schedule On a holiday week all collections will Be delayed one day if your collection day falls on or after the holiday. Friday collection will be on Saturday 2020 Holidays- 9/7, 11/26, 12/25 2021 Holidays- 1/1, 5/31

*BARRELS MUST BE PLACED SIDE-BY-SIDE SQUARE WITH THE CURB 3-5 FT. FROM STREET. WHEELS FACING HOUSE OR AWAY FROM STREET MINIMUM ONE FT. SEPARATION BETWEEN BARRELS. 3FT FROM ANY OBSTACLES SUCH AS MAILBOXES, TREES AND TELEPHONE POLES

2020- 2021 Shirley Recycling Information

For residents living in 1-6 unit homes with municipal trash collection

Single Stream Recycling All recyclables can be mixed, no sorting required

*NO OVERFLOW RECYCLING ALLOWED

Newspapers/inserts Office, note and copy paper Junk mail, phone books and magazines- remove cellophane, foil

& wrappings Chipboard- cereal, shoe, cracker boxes, etc., remove plastic

liners. Deposit and non-deposit beverage and aerosol cans, jars and

bottles made of glass, metal or plastic #1-5 & 7 Food, beverage, soap, and household cleaning containers Aluminum foil and trays Milk cartons and juice boxes

*Cardboard must be broken down to 2 x 2 or bundled and placed inside barrel. Do not overstuff barrels.

Recycling should be limited to: Paper, cardboard, aluminum cans/containers, plastic bottles, jugs, glass, bottles/jars.

NO Styrofoam, plastic bags or rubber hoses

HOUSEHOLD TRASH *Please bag all trash placed inside barrel. (Regular trash bags are allowed)

Shirley residents may bring the following items to the Recycling Center on Leominster Road.

The center is open Saturdays from 9:00 am- 3:00pm
