DIXON COUNTY OBITUARIES

Mrs. Carter was born near Mt. Pleasant, Ia., Jan. 27, 1859. She moved to Nebraska with her parents at the age of 11 in a covered wagon and crossed the Missouri River at Sioux City on a ferry boat and settled on a homestead in the Daily community west of Ponca. The family later moved to Ponca. She was married to Erasmus Carter Oct. 12, 1879. ................
