Clinical teaching of 4th, 5th, and 6th years medical students on surgical rotations both at the bedside and in affiliated hospitals, from February 1989 to date. Also, participating in the educational programmes for those preparing for the Fellowship exams.

2. KAH & Oncology Centre, Jeddah

• Since the inception of this hospital I have been in-charge of the educational programme for surgical interns and residents. This has involved the organization and coordination of all grand rounds, seminars, radiologic and histopathology rounds and case presentations.

• I am involved in the formulation and execution of the overall education programmes for all medical staff in this hospital by virtue of my membership of the Hospital’s Education Committee.

• Since 1990, I was a coordinator for the 4th, 5th, and 6th years medical students.

• Organizer, end of posting and final years examination for the 5th and 6th year medical students since 1990.

(G) LAPAROSCOPIC SURGERY EXPERIENCE:

Since we started our laparoscopic surgery in June 1992, I have been engaged in performing diagnostic laparoscopy, cholecystectomy and appendectomy. As experience is gained, I started to perform Advanced Laparoscopic Procedures such as truncal vagotomy, H.S. vagotomy, gastrojejunostomy, Nissen fundoplication, hernioplasty, colo-rectal resections and endocrine surgery.

(I) SURGICAL ONCOLOGY EXPERIENCE:

Following my promotion to consultant surgeon, I have started to develop an interest in the field of surgical oncology. Being working at King Abdulaziz Hospital and Oncology Centre, I am doing a large number of cancer cases in collaboration with medical oncologists and radiation therapists. My fields of interest include thyroid, parathyroids, salivary glands, breast and GIT, including hepato-biliary pancreatic malignancies.
