Workforce Insights

Although more than 4,000 people have lost their jobs in Minnesota so far this year, there are currently two job openings for every one worker. In this current applicant's economy, employers are having more difficulty recruiting and retaining talent.

Across businesses and industries, finding skilled workers continues to be the number one challenge for employers in Minnesota. Companies can make themselves stand out to skilled workers with on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement and other helpful employee benefits.

Companies can better attract talent by fully understanding their brand and its mission. Increasingly, job seekers want to work for a company with a clear mission, so employers should be able to clearly articulate their brand story to potential employees.
