2514600-11430000Student Note Taker InstructionsFollow these instructions to sign up as a student note taker. If you have questions at any point, contact Student Accessibility Services in the Campus Center.Create an account with SAS Online Services using these steps:Visit the Stark SAS website (search SAS at kent.edu/stark) and click on the blue button labeled SAS Online Services. Click “submit your application to take notes for students with disabilities.” Enter your Kent State ID number (also called your Banner ID) and create a username. It is recommended that you use your FlashLine username. Enter the Captcha code, and click “continue to Step 2.” Enter the personal information requested, including a phone number. You will receive a password via email. Log back in to SAS Online Services and change your password by clicking “My Profile” at the top of the page. Click “Change my Log In Info” on the left side of the page and change your password to something easily remembered and secure. Enter the CRN of the course for which you would like to take notes. If you are interested in taking notes for more than one class, enter all of your CRNs. Read and electronically sign the Note taker Contract. You must verify that you are a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident to be eligible for employment. Verify your class schedule by clicking the boxes next to your classes and click submit. Receive an assignment and complete training.You will be notified via email if you have been given an assignment. If you are given an assignment, you will be added to the Stark Note-taker Blackboard Learn classroom. You should log in to Blackboard for resources and for the training course. Note-takers must earn 100% on the training quiz, which can be taken multiple times. The Learn course also provides instructions on how to upload notes into SAS Online Services. Interested in future note taking opportunities? Each semester, log in to SAS Online Services to update your CRNs. You will be emailed if you are matched with an SAS Student. ................
