Today's world needs professionals prepared to solve global challenges related to agribusiness, climate change, a safe and reliable food supply, protection of natural resources, improved nutrition, public health, and alternative energy sources.

The baccalaureate degree program in Agriculture, Food, and Environment has four options:

Option in Agricultural Systems requires the courses: ? Agricultural Economics and Marketing ? Soil Science ? Environmental Entomology ? Agriculture and Energy Acceptable option electives include: ? Organic Agriculture ? Ornamental and Landscape Plants ? Urban Agriculture ? Introduction to Geographic Information Systems

Master of Science in Environmental Studies

Global ecological problems such as climate change, species and habitat loss, soil, air and water pollution, and food safety and quality will be among the biggest challenges of the next millennium. The search for solutions will demand creative and holistic thinking. The Master of Science in Environmental Studies program helps train graduates who can make the necessary connections between disciplines for applied problem solving.

The MES program takes and interdisciplinary and experiential learning approach to the study of human interactions with the environment. Traditional and non-traditional students enter the MES program in the thesis or Capstone options from a range of backgrounds including physical and natural sciences, social sciences, engineering, education, and state employment.
