Ronald McNair Elementary School GROUP PIANO LESSONS

Enrollment for 2017-2018

WHAT: Group piano lessons for beginner or advanced students (approx. 5-7 students per class). Lessons focus on note reading and practice from piano books. Children take turns playing and learning on one piano. A piano (or keyboard with 7 octaves & full size keys) must be available at home for daily practice. This program is offered by Montgomery County Class Piano, Inc. (non-profit organization) and is sponsored by the McNair PTA. The Group Piano Program has been successful in Montgomery County for over 50 years and its teachers are certified.

WHO: Students grades 2 through 5 for the 2017-2018 school year

WHEN: Approx. Oct 2017 - May 2018. Lessons will be once per week, will be one hour long and will begin at 8:05 am.

WHERE: Ronald McNair Elementary School ( class TBD).

MUSIC INSTRUCTOR: Mr. Jacob Opper

TUITION: DEPOSIT OF $100 for enrollment is due Sep 29, 2017 (Friday). FINAL PAYMENT DUE OCTOBER 06, 2017 (Fri). Approx. tuition will be determined after registrations are closed. Tuition is usually about $350 for the whole school year which include 28 classes (about $12-13 per lesson). Tuition is based on the total number of students enrolled and includes teacher’s salary, music books, supplies, annual recital, student awards, annual equipment maintenance, and school use fees. A final tuition will be determined by TUESDAY October 3, 2017. You will be contacted with the final amount. MAKE CHECK PAYABLE TO: RONALD MCNAIR PTA. [NO CASH]

Enrollment is for the full school year. Deposits and tuition are NOT REFUNDABLE. Parents are welcomed to observe any or all classes and provide feedback. Parents are responsible for their child’s transportation to the lessons. Students will be dismissed to their classrooms at the morning bell directly from their piano lesson.
