Blessed be your glorious name forever and ever! We acknowledge and confess that we have sinned against you in our thoughts, our words, and our deeds. We have not loved you with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and we have not loved our neighbor as ourselves. We have followed our sinful hearts, pursued worldliness, and have succumbed to greed, impatience, anger, lust, pride, and many other sins. We ask, O God, to forgive what we have been, to sanctify who we are, and—by your grace—to lead us in paths of righteousness for your name's sake, so that henceforth we may walk in the way of your commandments, and do that which is pleasing in your sight, through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen. Assurance of Pardon 1 John 2:1, 2 If any man sins, he has an Advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous; and He is the propitiation for our sins.
