Rev. 5, 1-7

THE LAMB THAT ROARED!

Revelation 5:1-7

It is a part of our Adamic nature to want to be in control. We feel nervous when we are not in control. That is why some don't like to ride with others they must drive! Our lives are centered on control. We control our finances, our environment, our jobs, our families, our ... Some even want to control God!

There is coming a day in heaven when we realize that we totally lack control of everything! The saints, individually or collectively, do not have control. The angels, individually or collectively, do not have control. If all created beings in heaven (including us) tried, we could not have control of anything.

What a scene! God with a scroll in His right hand. The angel asks, "Who is worthy to open ... ? What is this scroll, and what does it contain?

1. It is the legitimate deed to the kingdoms of this world.

2. It contains the final judgments of God that will be poured out upon this

earth ... bringing about the end to the counterfeit reign of the usurper king

- Satan!

We must remember this: Satan has already offered his counterfeit deed to Jesus. Matthew 4:8-10

NOTE: Again, the devil taketh him up into an exceeding high mountain, and sheweth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them;

And saith unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me.

Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.

Matthew 4:8-10

Jesus was heir to the kingdom, but Satan said, "I'll will give it to you now!" Jesus didn't fall for it ... but WE DID AND DO!

"Why wait ... get it NOW!" Why wait for ____ - do it NOW! Why wait for _______ until we can afford it, charge it NOW! Take it by force, steal it, do whatever is necessary to have it NOW!

And we fill our lives with counterfeit of the world, the flesh and the devil; things because we don't want to wait for the legitimate things of God. Then we suffer the consequences of our foolish decisions: debt that we cannot pay - prison - broken homes, hearts, mates, children, lives.
