Schedule of Topics for the CLD 2020 Virtual ConferenceHello, Members of CLD and other Professionals in the Field of Learning Disabilities,I am excited to share with you the schedule of virtual presentation topics for the CLD 2020 Virtual Conference. We have almost 70 sessions scheduled across our five day event, with offerings focused on a diverse array of different topics related to the outcomes of individuals with learning disabilities. While we are still working to finalize specific sessions, I am excited to share with you the areas that will be discussed on each day of the topic. Please note - presentations on each day will be unique presentations for that day; no presentations will be repeated across days, even if presentations are in the same topic area. So, while we may talk about math and students with LD on Thursday and on Monday, the sessions presented will be different during each day of the conference. We are scheduling between four and six breakout sessions for each topic area. And remember - registration for everything below is free for members and $25 for non-members.Thursday, October 15, 202011:00 AM - 1:00 PM ESTWriting Instruction and Interventions for Students with Learning DisabilitiesMathematics Instruction and Interventions for Students with Learning Disabilities - SESSION 16:00 PM - 8:00 PM ESTEducational Policy to Support the Outcomes of Students with Learning DisabilitiesTeacher Education and Professional Development to Support Students with Learning DisabilitiesFriday, October 16, 202011:00 AM - 1:00 PM ESTReading Instruction and Interventions for Students with Learning DisabilitiesBehavioral, Self-Regulation, and Social-emotional Supports for Students with Learning DisabilitiesSaturday, October 17, 2020 - CLD Saturday11:00 AM - 12:30 PM ESTCLD Business Meeting12:30 PM - 1:00 PM ESTAwards Presentation1:00 PM - 3:00 PM ESTORA and Must Reads PresentationSunday, October 18, 2020 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM ESTEducational Policy to Support the Outcomes of Students with Learning DisabilitiesBehavioral, Self-Regulation, and Social-emotional Supports for Students with Learning DisabilitiesMonday, October 19, 202011:00 AM - 1:00 PM ESTCulturally Sustaining Practices for Students with Learning Disabilities from Culturally, Linguistically, and Racially Diverse Backgrounds6:00 PM - 8:00 PM ESTBehavioral, Self-Regulation, and Social-emotional Supports for Students with Learning DisabilitiesMathematics Instruction and Interventions for Students with Learning DisabilitiesTuesday, October 20, 202011:00 AM - 1:00 PM ESTInstruction and Interventions within Content Areas for Students with Learning DisabilitiesTeacher Education and Professional Development to Support Students with Learning Disabilities6:00 PM - 8:00 PM ESTReading and Writing Instruction and Interventions for Students with Learning DisabilitiesEach session will include an opening presentation about the particular topic area, an opportunity to engage in two small-group breakout sessions focused on a specific aspect of that topic area, and then a closing presentation with discussion among participants about ideas for furthering research, teaching, and policy related to that particular area.
