E Gaming
While Las Vegas offers many forms of entertainment
and recreation, the biggest game in town has always been found
in the casino. Every year, millions of visitors try their hands at
games of chance such as blackjack, baccarat, poker and even
bingo. If you¡¯re a sports fan, you may want to spend some time
in a resort race and sports book where you can wager on your
favorite teams. There are hundreds of themed slot machine
games, and casino-resorts offer ¡°slot clubs¡± that give
participants incentives to play.
4 Gratuities
Las Vegas was built on its world-class hospitality, and it is quite
common to offer a gratuity, or ¡°tip,¡± to resort employees who
make your stay convenient and enjoyable. A 15 to 20 percent tip
is the generally accepted amount for waiters and waitresses. For
bell captains and bellmen, a tip of $1 to $2 per bag of luggage
is recommended. If you use the concierge or VIP services at
your hotel to make travel plans or show reservations, a $5 tip
is appropriate. While in the casino, a small bet for the dealer is
the usual method of tipping at the gaming tables. Tips are also
appropriate for keno runners and slot attendants. At a show
room without assigned seats, a tip of $5 to $20 to the maitre d¡¯
will usually ensure desired seating. For valet parking attendants,
a tip of $2 is normal; a tip of $2 per day to your hotel maid will
also be appreciated.
t Currency Exchange
Most major hotels and casino cashiers will accept foreign
currency and exchange it for U.S. dollars. However, you
cannot purchase foreign currency from the casino cashier.

= Access
Las Vegas is accessible to all visitors, 24 hours a day. The
city has more accessible guest rooms than any destination
in the country, perhaps even the world. Many hotels offer
rooms with roll-in showers, transfer showers and tubs with
built-in or portable seats. Ask your reservations agent to
book a room with your specific needs in mind. In addition to
the accommodations, every Las Vegas hotel has accessible
slot machines, and many have accessible table games too.
What¡¯s more, many casinos offer sign language interpreters
for gaming lessons. Most show rooms have assistive
listening devices, and it¡¯s always best to call ahead for
information. Most Las Vegas hotels also have lifts to assist
visitors into their beautiful pools. For additional details,
please ask for your hotel¡¯s ADA coordinator.
