This extra credit assignment offers you an opportunity to provide Professor Armbrust with suggestions for a new oceanography-related case study to be covered in next year’s Ocean 200 class. Using the ScienceDaily website (see directions below), find an interesting article related to the field of oceanography that encompasses 4 different aspects of oceanography. Be sure to provide reasons why the subject you chose should be taught in next year’s class.

Professor Armbrust will read through the suggestions and announce the “winner” on the last day of class. The selected article will be used as a new case study topic in next year’s Ocean 200 class.

Due Date: The beginning of class on Wednesday, June 3rd.

Directions: From any computer, go to the Fish Library homepage, . In the bottom right corner is a little window that reads “Science News”. Drag the mouse over the window and a link called “ScienceDaily: Latest Science News” will light up. Click on it. Choose an oceanography-related article and answer the questions below for 10 extra credit points.
