INSTRUCTIONAL PACING GUIDE ? CC Math 7B ? Course 2 Volume 2 (Field Test Version)

This course is the second semester of seventh grade math, incorporates the Common Core State Standards, fulfills the second half of the second year math requirement for middle school and is designed specifically for independent study.

Content Material covered in both the A and B courses is in line with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Students will be expected to master the following standards for practice (as in all math courses):

Standards for Mathematical Practice

Conceptual Categories covered in both Math 7 courses are: Ratios and Proportional Relationships, The Number System, Expressions and Equations, Geometry (additional), and Statistics and Probability (supporting). Websites and Software The textbook companion website offers students various helpful resources including supplemental tutorials on key concepts, and step-by-step help for certain problems in the book. See your teacher for the access code.

Homework Students should expect to work two hours a day, five days a week on assignments for this course. Work submitted should be labeled with student name, course name, and assignment/week number. Students are expected to show all work and check oddnumbered answers using the answer key in the back of the book.
